Platean Detachment Assembles

Deep in his studies in his humble Aquilaria residence, Duke Delphi Augustus hears a faint knock on his door. "Come in," he commands distractedly, and a messenger walks over to the Duke and taps him on the shoulder. Still not looking up, the messenger informs Delphi that word of the training exercise between Foghorn and Baldwin has gotten to the Republic of Antica, and that foreign military forces were on their way.
Taking a deep breath, the Duke was standing and in his closet a moment later, leaving the messenger standing, nervous. Adorning his military uniform, neatly pressed and sparsely worn, he rushes out the door, down to the street, where a military escort was awaiting him. On his way out, he grabs his hat off a hook near the door, and gets in the awaiting vehicle.
Arriving only minutes later at the Aquilaria Military Command Center, Delphi sets out the agenda, and dispatchers begin enacting his will immediately.
An impressive defensive force began to assemble in the military base on the outskirts of Aquilaria. Tanks and foot soldiers preparing to move out on the southern front, to confront the foreign forces. The tanks rolled out first, and the troops marching behind. The forces began
preparing near the border, and remained ready for an attack.
