You have been betrayed!!!!

Hello to all citizens of Shireroth and visitors.

This message is being posted in a show of friendship and kindness to the nation and people of Shireroth. One of your citizens, Nick aka Foghorn, has been carrying out Spy Operations on the Republic of Antica for some time now. We currently estimate that he's been doing this for at least the past 6 weeks. We've identified him claiming to be the Director of SHINE. He has named several of the members and has passed along information regarding the Republic of Antica to people in order to prove that his loyalties are with SHINE, and not the Republic of Antica.

The names of the potential SHINE members, as well as copies of several Private Messages, etc that Foghorn has been sharing, are all being forwarded to Delphi Augustus as soon as this message is posted. This is being done because Delphi was mentioned heavily in many of Foghorn's correspondences, and we felt he deserved to be the person in Shireroth who was informed of this first. We do not wish to go publishing private information that affects members of the Republic of Antica in a public fora, as that would make us just as bad as Foghorn.

We will not post any further messages. It is not in our best interest to justify our actions, or explain ourselves. We are merely making an attempt to assist you in what we see as a severe breach of intelligence secrecy. The Republic of Antica has been informed of Foghorn's actions via personal messages to Speaker Olorix over AOL Instant Messenger.

First, Nick isn't a member of SHINE. Second, Delphi doesn't run it [person] does. Third: you're an idiot. Get out of here.

EDIT: Now now, no fair revealing any information about who runs SHINE in a public forum.

*blinks*

Umm... no? I got out of the spy business after my failed infiltration of San Martin. And I most definitely am NOT the director of SHINE. I don't even have access to the forum!

You know, it's probably Aryez. If someone wants to PM me his IP I'll check it against the one he uses in the Republic.

Shirerithian Intelligence Network. Proudly ____ing the ____ and ____ since ____. Heh, I always laugh when I see that logo.

The website has a better description. I forget how to get to the SHINE page though...

Ah, thanks. Assumed something like that, but was sidetracked by considering it as an acronym.

And the logo did make me laugh. :)

"Sometimes an agent's identity is so secret that they themselves do not know it!"

I love the operation names. Niftiest intelligence agency, ever.

Hello, this is Aryeztur, and I did not make this post. You can check my IP anyhow as proof. I have no access to PMs or anything, nor do I have the technological skill to do something like this. However, it is possible my words in Antica inspired someone else to expose the truth behind the shady actions of Foghorn.

WTF? Aryeztur thinks he's the Kwisatz Haderach now?!

Now I've seen everything... :o

Nice of you to catch that Ryan.

KWESTADZ is an Aryezi word though, meaning chosen one, messiah, etc. BUT, as you noticed, it is derived from "Kwisatz Haderach" (Go Dune!)

(See microwiki article on Kwestadz) I could be the Kwestadz, a minor one, or I could just be the one preparing the way for the real one.

Aryez... I was somewhat disappointed that you chose to quote Yoda instead of the Fear Mantra from Dune...

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I will add that to the Marfat as soon as I can. I should have. Thank you.

But the original point is, who is responsible for this?

I do not like this.

Whoever is trying to manipulate Anticans into believing Shireroth is spying on them is a liar, and has their own political agenda at heart.

If it is determined that the Antican government is the organization that has started this mess, I can assure you, Shirerithians will make them pay, through rec-war or other means.

and would you look at this

Shirerithians, you need to read the contents of this thread in Antica:

http://foghorn.myfxh.com/phpbb/viewtopi ... =6724#6724

Here are the intriguing quotes just in case they decided to delete it:
To be honest with you, war has been something of a misfire for the extent of micronationalism's history, mostly because no one can decide on a good method. Some resort to hacking people's fora, while others prefer the Recreational Warfare method (recwar for short). The current trend, however, is using the Micronational Diplomacy method, which has been a success (if a bit slow) so far. -- Fax Celestis
Thanks..so hmm there ARE WMD's..and they ARE feared. Excellent... Cool--General Sushi
...and we have one. It's codenamed Chimera. But don't tell anyone.--Foghorn
I just want to remark that Chimera is a Greek word meaning a hybrid between two animals. This could be construed to mean a shape-shifter. The codename Chimera may reveal what it is that has been happening here in Shireroth. I would be wary of any IPs that change quite a bit.

In fact, if Shireroth could ban all the IPs other than the ones that most Shirerithians use every day, the problem of Antican surveillance might be eliminated.

Delphi is more knowledgeable about this stuff and I'm sure he's dealing with the matter in the most technically-advanced way possible.

There's no need to go on a crazy streak and start banning lots of IPs. We're safe enough, and I'm confident enough we won't have any military threat. Foghorn's claim of an Antican WMD is nothing but a bluff.

it is surely a joke

Anticans have revealed the names of their forum-bombing technologies before. Remember GoldenEye? Remember what it did to Avalonia, what was once a fairly active micro-nation with four citizens? Although Delphi designed GoldenEye, other important Anticans were aware of its development and usage.

Delphi is calling a bluff in this case, so maybe he knows that the Anticans were just too technically inept to build upon his own technology.

by Bill3000
*shrug* Remember the Spam Cannon? ezBomb? Null Bomb? Of course you don't. They all were forms of internet weaponry. It's not a big deal to actually possess said weaponry - it's not that hard. It's not like it is safe to use for micronational diplomacy now, anyways.

As well, this isn't serious. In reality, the only person trying to think that this is serious is you, Matt. I'm going to take a guess and say that you made the opening post, because the styles are too similar.

I would also like to add that anyone who is presumptous enough to name THEMSELF something as grand as a "divine messiah or messenger" without it being a normal name or an absolutely obscure refference is silly and the mark of someone who is a "sad geek in the head" and in need of a reality check.

qouting Yoda and Muad'Dib is fine, even encouraged, but labeling yourself as such a figure of wisdom, knowledge, and respect shows a unhealthy ego and lack of imagination.

sorry, but as of now, said person has low points in my eyes, whether it matters or not.

Bill's right. Considering that the first post was a provocation between us and Antica and mbasil's followups consist entirely of egging on Shireroth into action against Antica, either they are the same person or are of a similar mindset to start trouble between us and Antica.

Dumbarse troublemaker.

No, you are wrong, Osmose. I did not make that first post. You are a moron if you think that I did. Check the IPs. They are different.

by Sander
Everybody knows it was you by now. Different IPs prove nothing; Let me teach you something about logic.

let p := "2 accounts have the same IP"
let q := "behind the accounts is the same person"

!p = "2 accounts have a different IP"
!q = "behind the accounts are 2 different people"

p => q is true in 99.9% of the cases.

p => q = !p or q
!(p => q) = !(!p or q) = !(!p) or !q = !q => !p
and not !p => !q.

Thus, we can only safely assume that, if behind 2 accounts are 2 different people, they will have different IPs, and not vice versa, which is what you claim, albeit implicitly.

... Sorry. As you can see I am very, VERY bored.
