County Decree #2: CIVIL WAR
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 4:50 pm
by Braden Indianensis
Due to his harboring the rebel Kuralyov, the County of Kaikias is hereby engaged in Half-joking civil war with the domains of Count Nick Foghorn Leghorn.
By my hand,
Count Baldwin Plantagenet-Julii
SO LET IT BE WRITTEN; SO LET IT BE DONE.

The Antican Naval Infantry (still holding Ardashir hostage, by the way) accepts your challenge and asks what the terms shall be?

If I win, you will officially condemn Kuralyov and swear fealty to me. If you win...well, state your terms.

by Nick Foghorn Leghorn
fealty to you? we both swear it to Delphi, so that would be pointless. Mabye something more... useful?
If I win (and win I shall, my dear misguided painting), you will swear to support any military conflict the County of Norfolk engages in from now until eternity (which is usually no more than a month in Micras).

Errr...Ok, but I wish to change my terms...you'll publicly condemn Kuralyov, as well as support any legislation I put throught the Chamber. Acceptable?
If so, a civil recwar it will be, conducted of course in SNARL.

not any legislation. that's far too totalitarian. mabye, a set number of markers you can call in? you pick a number. a REASONABLE number.
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:07 pm
by Braden Indianensis
Do you mean you want me to pick a set number of pieces of legislation you will be bound to support? If so, seven. A lucky number.
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:08 pm
by Nick Foghorn Leghorn
that works. the terms are agreed to.
now, weapon set? I'm partial to modern day, but that's just me.

There we diverge. I prefer medieval. The longsword, the spiked ball-and-chain, the mace, the spear, the crossbow.
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:18 pm
by Braden Indianensis
Oh, and those seven pieces of legislation ought to be of my choosing. Any other pieces you choose to support will not count. Is this acceptable?
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:24 pm
by Nick Foghorn Leghorn
yes, yes, all very acceptable. And we are using the SNARL or MRWS rules?
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:33 pm
by Braden Indianensis
I read the SNARL Charter (MK 2....I hope that's recent) and it seems reasonable. Let's go with that.
Now, we need to decide if we're going to have medieval soldiers/equipment or modern ones.
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:37 pm
by Braden Indianensis
So, since we're each a person, we each get one unit (25, 000 men or equivalent ships)?
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 9:46 pm
by Nick Foghorn Leghorn
SNARL works best with modern soldiers...
And yes, that or the equivalent
Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:35 pm
by Braden Indianensis
Well, if we have to use modern soldiers, it won't be the end of the world. SNARL it is.

Shall I leave it to you to initiate the conflict? You are the one that made the decree, after all. It's only fair you get the first swipe.

I suppose so...don't we have to lodge something with the Comissioner of SNARL? If not, I'll write the first attack.

by Nick Foghorn Leghorn
probably... post in the SNARL forum and alert them to the war. mabye ask for a sub-forum to use.

Done and done.
EDIT: Are we going to allow magic and nuclear weapons? I hope not.
And we've agreed on outcomes...

You have no idea how tempted I am to volunteer to fight for the noble County of Norfolk...

I was actually about to ask for your support, gentlemen. Would you care in aiding the noble effort to return the One True Kuralyov to his rightful position?

The One True Kuralyov can't post here anymore.

Why? Did you decree him to ban him from the Duchy of Antica? If you banned him from the entire forums, I believe that is not legal for you to do so.
The Minister of Information shall be given admin over the Shireroth board, to be used for the purposes of synchronicity and security.
a. It is the duty of the Minister of Information to maintain the cosmetic appearance of the forum.
b. It is the duty of the Minister of Information to align any relevant parts of the forum to their respective sections of the Shireroth website.
c. It is the duty of the Minister of Information to take on any emergency administrative duties for security.
Kuralyov isn't doing anything to warrant a security emergancy. Being annoying isn't something to warrent an emergancy priviledge, which is meant to protect the boards, from, say, spam attacks.

In my capacity as a Noble, I banned him from my Duchy. Since our lands are fictional and fora are real, I see forum banning an appropriate action. The effect is the same, because if I declared him banned and he posted that wouldn't be much of a ban, now would it?

Oh, please unban me! Pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE:
Mssrs. Chrimigules and Olorix are hereby made Commanding Lord Marshals of the First and Second Legions of Truth.

phpBB has a feature to ban members from a particular forum?
Either way, decree would be nice, but I don't see one - I'm probably blind.
Oh, and,

at that juxtaposition.
