Let this be a lesson to you all.

Do NOT pronounce your minster's last name like this:

DO pronounce your minister's last name like this, but with a D:

As a fun fact, my name is W. George Dusch.

Next person to pronounce my last name wrong becomes this banana. :archy

Oh, so it's pronounced Dusch, not Douche, OK.

Not everyone has trouble with your name. The main vowel is followed by multiple consonants, while Douche is followed by a single consonant and then a silent e, which of course means it's long while the vowel in the name is short. Duh!

No, I know from experience that roughly everyone has trouble with my name.

Well, if it's any consolation, I thought it was pronounced "Dutch" for quite some time :)

I allways thought it was pronounced
"three-thowz-and"

I'll admit. I also, first time I saw it, mistook it for Dutch.

Bill, thanks for the pronunciation guide. I have also had people mispronounce my last name all my life. I really thought your name was pronounced as the German word for German--Deutch (doytch). Now we will all say it right. :)

Will we?Mwahahahahahahahaha! Just kidding, we'll all say it right...*snickers.*

Kiddo? I resent that. But that's freedom of speech for you, someone's bound to resent it..

Silly Baldwin, there is no such thing as freedom of speech here.

You know, "Dusch" in Swedish, with the same pronunciation and spelling as your name, means "shower" :)

But I always pronounced it in my mind so that it would rhyme with "hush"

By dear Shower Kaiser :love
