Based on this old map which I found on the internet along with a plethora of other material dating back to the old Imperium of Akerbjorn, which is presently called Lothlaria, I am making the following proposition.



The debate whether to remove Lothlaria should be closed. In its place I would like to propose that Lothlaria be reduced to a single county, moved into the southern half of Cognito, and restored to its original name of Akerbjorn.

I'm going to be honest and admit right off the bat that my reasoning for this is because I have cultural ideas for a restored Akerbjorn County which I would very much like to see carried out. To summarise in one word: Narnia. The second reasoning, however, goes into the current debate in the Landsraad. A decision cannot be made on whether or not to eliminate Cognito and Lothlaria. Well this solves both problems. Cognito is reduced to a more reasonable size. And Lothlaria finds new life as a restored Akerbjorn, albeit reduced to a county, and the old land is ditched.

I do hope that someone will sponsor this idea in the Landsraad.

why not just make a new county called ab...whatever the fuck it was...

and Loth was always Loth.. as far as I know...

Erik: no, Loth used to belong to Philip Locke, who originally founded it as Akerbjorn.

Ryan: First of all, Locke would be spinning in his grave at a Narnia-themed Akerbjorn. Second, randomly moving stuff around is bad and ruins the historical continuity (which of course carries a TERRIBLE CURSE). Why don't you just build your Narnia thing somewhere else?

I was just offering an alternative solution to a proposal currently before the Landsraad.

And just an FYI: Akerbjorn translates from Norse to Sledbear. Which inspired this image into my mind.



Hence the Narnia idea.

That seems like a good start for the borders, though.

I was told it meant "fielder bear". Even so, those sled bears are cool. But not as cool as Sethi Kalirion, who according to Hyperborean legend rode a polar bear bareback. *That's* cool.

Well I've gone with building Bjorngard out of FIRSCOGA anyways, which effectively cancels out this idea.

Although I still think Loth should be incorporated into Cognito. The borders remain the same, just change the names.
