County Subforums

Seriously chaps, in Elwynn we now have one forum for each count, that is to say each single Elwynnese subject. What the hell is the point of this useless well... subdivision? No county is ever going to generate enough activity to warrant a forum of their own. All sub national activity should occur at the duchy level in order to be sustainable, otherwise it is merely wasted effort.
As Steward of Elwynn I wish to enquire as to what authority requested the county subforums and I further request that they are removed and any topics found within returned to the ducal level.

It is on the authority of the Kaiseress that I instituted subforums for each county.
Do not view this as subdivision... the county subforums are not intended to draw activity away from the Barony and Duchy forums. They are there to facilitate the building of culture and other related items specific to the counties in question. Furthermore, they can be moved if a county changes affiliation, allowing the culture of the area to be moved with it.
Inactivity of these forums is no concern. If a majority resolves it as such, I can hide them from displaying on the main forum, but removing them would serve no purpose, other than to prevent possible county-specific posting.
To the argument that this will somehow make it harder to check what posts are being made, I remind you that on the mainpage, there is a link that says "View Posts since Last Visit", which presents said posts in a nice list, regardless of where they are posted.
I'm not adding new ministries, departments, what have you. I am simply allowing the citizens of Shireroth to expand their own domains as they saw fit.

Ok, well could you possibly put the counties at the bottom rather than the top so that one does not have to scroll down to check what the latest happenings are?

I can definately look into doing that. It'd require some rewriting of code, but it shouldn't be too complex.
Upon further thought, it would seem that the best solution would be to create a secondary theme that places the subforums list below the main topic list, thereby enabling the user to choose his or her preference (as I am more of an "above-the-fold" guy).
I'll work on this tonight.
....after Sci-Fi Friday.
