Happy Three Years Hyperborea!! Just a bubbly elf-cat girl who gives out adviceand saves countries

Traditionally, the Hyperboreans have celebrated their independence on March 21, since all we knew of our founding was it occurred sometime in late March/early April. However, more recent historical evidence has caused me to move the date up to April 2, making today the third anniversary of Hyperborea's founding.The previous independence day, falling on the spring equinox, had the name Mekonamiitoren. While we still celebrate the equinox, I give the current independence day the name of Kethethamasisan, the Great Who-we-are-becoming.As the current Elder, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to Hyperborea over the years, both those who are and are not still with us. I would like to thank the Kaiserial Crown and the Imperial Republic for agreeing to take us on and for protecting us. And I would like to thank the citizens of Shireroth for giving us such a warm welcome.I would also like to take this opportunity to announce my future plans for the Barony. I want to dispel all the rumors people seem to have that we are considering leaving Shireroth. We are not. We do, however, want to become a much larger, more active, and more culturally autonomous part of Shireroth, and we are particularly interested in gaining new citizens. I will be taking steps in this direction just as soon as I figure out what they will be.As the kickoff to our cultural and infrastructural buildup program, I would like to present the new Hyperborean site, although currently only the Information section is complete. I ask the Kaiser to link our flag to it at his earliest convenience.Finally, a part of the Kethethamasisan is a renewed committment to Hyperborean values like truth, beauty, peace, and friendship. If you see me or the Barony acting in ways contrary to these values, please let me know, and I'll try to change that behavior.
