HUZZAH! A new day has begun for Amity!

by Gman Russell
*A crowd had begun to form around a relatively fancy temporary platform that had been erected for just this occasion. Two Amity and Mirioth banners flew proudly on the sides of the raised platform, and in the center a podium and microphone stood ready for use. Two video cameras stood ready to broadcast this event to both Islands live. The local crowd hushed in anticipation of the speech, and after a few minutes the anthem of Yardistan began to play. Once it was over, Gman walked to the podium and began his speech* People of Amity and Mirioth, Duke Gryphon Avocatio of the dutchy we are apart of, esteemed nobles of the Landsraad, and Kaiser Meskan I and his queen, Kaiseress Jadie; I thank you for your support in helping me achieve noblehood and for your continuing love. This is a gigantic honour that I didn't think ever could be possible, yet here I stand before you. It almost brings me to tears to know that I have such good friends, and also motivates me to action. My first goals for Amity and Mirioth are to gain more citizens for the glory of our Barony, to possibly re-activate JASO, or to at least build a museum to its memory; and to represent you, the people, in the Landsraad as best I am able. These I swear, and to these I am to be held to. So I say, Baron Gman Russell. Thank you!

Olé!!*Gryphon Avocatio Takes the stand*Donsuu, Iardîstamajsa. We stand at a new hour. A new leader hath come to lead these lands to new wealth and prosperity. I would not entrust the title of Overlord to just any man. I believe in Gman's ability. So, wish him well. Yasuu.*As Gryphon Departs, a fight breaks out in the crowd, as one always does when he speaks.**Gryphon Returns to The Isle* -Gryphon Avocatio- Anarch and Duke of all Yardistan - Minister of Imigration and Naturalisation, Shireroth - Shirerothian Elder - "Minsiter of Dance, Pants and Funny Walks" - SAVE THE KIWI!! God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen. Send her victorious, happy and glorious, long to reign over us; God save the Queen. Thy choicest gifts in store On her be pleased to pour, Long may she reign.May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice God save the Queen.
