Seriously.. I just went to check my email.. and it started dling my emails as ussual... and it was being slow.. so I checked... cause I ussually only get 2-3 spam emails a day.. and that's it.... so... I thought maybe someone had sent me a file.... I had 21 emails!... so far most with attachments... ALLL saying the same thing.. "See attachment for details"... DON"T open anythiong like this... It's proly a Virus.... I'm just deleting them as they come in...about 18 of those were just viruses... and 2 where "See King dong attack!"... I've gotten 5 of those now.. they are getting annoying.... the last 1 was just some random spam...Now.. that was weird.... E. Blockage.I think that I got the LovSan virus. My computer is going much slower than usual and it has started to randomly shut down. Guess I'll have to go over to microsoft.com and see what I can do to flush out this bastard. Locke

That email virus we're talking about is SoBig.F... I haven't gotten a single copy of it. I don't know which of Vipul's Razor, SpamAssassin or AMaViS it was that blocked it, and I don't really care... I use mutt for reading my mail anyway. On the MSBlast end of things, my ISP blocks incoming packages on port TCP/135 (and pretty much everything under 1024) anyway... which I don't like them for... but at least it means people won't get infected with MSBlast through them... In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to a Finn.

They made a big deal about it here.. If you has Win XP, NT, or 2000.. you HAD to patch your system.. or you could NOT go on the network...I finally got my email connected.. and I think the network filtered it... cuase I got alot weird error messages for emails...deleted them all E. Well... the intent of the writer might have been good... but Nachi exploits two security holes instead of only one, has more efficient scanning rules, doesn't have the major bugs that Blaster had and downloads a file of notable size on each computer it infects, so it might actually have been more destructive than Blaster itself. I got XP...it crashed last night...was able to recover all my files luckily. But AOL is being a bitch...7.0 wouldn't work at all so I had to d/l 8.0 and I'm still lucky if I can make it online without much trouble. Apparently AOL says that my modem is experiencing an error of some sorts.

AOL has been fucking me over with unusual fervor these last few days. Prolly have to upgrade to 8.0 one of these days. Locke

AOL is fine when you don't use the built in IE, it would be even better if you didn't have to wait for your buddy list to popup in order to surf the net as well...either way, before my system crashed, I had zero problems with AOL connection wise...in fact, it's the only dial up service I had where I could always depend on getting a connection.

Mindspring.. now Earthlink has ALWAYS been good to me... Always... I've never had problems with it... AOL just.. sucks.. I've never really heard of ANYONE who used AOL and was accually happy with it, without complaint. My ISP doens't make me DL ANYTHING! Just hands me a number to call with my modem... and a username and PW.. and I'm online..I mean, they give you software to set things up for you.. but you don't need it... all you need is the number to call.. your login... and a password...
