As the Alexandrians have so precisely put it, the Dinarchy is trying to influence the foreign policy of other nations by threats, and that is something that is both inethical and immoral. So by "formal diplomatic relations" I presume they mean "recognising or anything beyond that"?

Well let's see, it was Kaiser Los III's policy to keep neutral between the two Anticas, and so we shall remain, even if the Dinarchy are choosing to be selectively reasonable about it. That's the best we can do for the moment, as it's pretty obvious they're not going to be suing for peace any time soon...

I'm not sure that was the entire policy. The policy was to remain allied with the Dinarchy and to tell the Republic we liked them but not to recognize them until three months were up, as is our tradition. Right now we're allied with Delphi and still have no treaty with the rebels; the waiting period will end in late November, but I would have no objection at all to just waiving the rest. [Republican bias] Friends, the Dinarchy has made it abundantly clear that they will not tolerate nations who take the middle path in this disagreement. They are of the opinion that the Dinarchy, being the "...only true Antica..." (Delphi Augustus, AIM conversation), is the only Antica that should be recognized, and anyone who recognizes the "...traitors..."
