Voting Freeze Amendment

Purpose: To protect the votes of minor nobles.Bill:A Duke may change the votes they provide their subdivisions at any time. However, if a Baron has already cast votes for an active bill, those votes remain unchanged. In effect, the Baron maintains their votes for that bill only until the bill is resolved.Placement in the Procedures of the Landsraad: Section B (Voting Procedure for Standard Bills), Clause 6This would be a new clause.In addition, in the case of Emergency Bills, this legislature does not apply. Joe proved that wrong when he grabbed Renee's votes from her in the middle of a bill, because she didn't vote the way he wanted her to.This was designed to protect those instances. Blindness Is A Blessing

Well, it had happened before and been proclaimed bad form, but what Joe did was technically legal at the time. It just caused a rather annoying fight. *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

Right. But this is to prevent that from happening in the future. It has already passed, but I figured since the text was lost and I had to basically rewrite it, I figured we'd better pass it again. Blindness Is A Blessing

The barony of Amity and Mirioth votes aye (3). There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

Psychotic Kildare votes NAY (0)Dukes should not be allowed to change the votes of their lesser nobility, but instead to change the vote distribution. If nobles can change the votes but the original votes still stand, what's to prevent someone's baron from voting in favour of a bill, and the duke changing the votes to YEA, thus making the Baron's vote worth double?In short, this needs to be worded better. Gryphon the Pure- Shirithian Elder - Dutch of Kildare - Minister of the Interior - High Priest of Apostrophe aka Grammar Fuhrer - Director of the Shirithian Census - Imperial Advisor -q=parseInt(Math.random()*gryphSig.length);q=(isNaN(q))?0:q;document.write(gryphSig[q]);q=parseInt(Math.random()*gryphSig.length);q=(isNaN(q))?0:q;document.write(gryphSig[q]);q=parseInt(Math.random()*gryphSig.length);q=(isNaN(q))?0:q;document.write(gryphSig[q]);

Quote:A Duke may change the votes they provide their subdivisions at any time. However, if a Baron has already cast votes for an active bill, those votes remain unchanged.I believe that's pretty straightforward. Blindness Is A Blessing
