Nay, Brookshire (4)Spouses shouldn't automatically get the powers of the nobles they marry. They should only get them if they are granted to them... Mortis BrookshireKaiser of Shireroth

Not to sound all Republican conservative or anything, but...The point of this bill is to make the act of Marriage stronger in the RS. This way Marriage can be used as a political tool (which is the main reason for legal Marriage) just as well as an act of love. If anyone doesn't want to give their spouse those powers, then this bill provides for amendment due to Pre-Nuptual agreements. Note that it doesn't say -how- Pre-Nups are arranged. If we get down to writing some actual Marriage laws, then can we decide that. For the meanwhile, the Ruling Noble is still above his Honourary Nobles. Also think - if you aren't marrying for politics, and you can't trust your spouse with your own political power... then what in the world are you marrying for? However, the main point of this bill is not to define Marriage Laws so much as provide for Honourary Nobility in general. In this way, say if Fax or CinC Patrick showed up, I could still grant him Honourary Dutchship over Kildare, but still retain my own status. (Or for more examples, Raglan with Loth, FHL with Yardistan, Mari with Elwynn, et cetera).Bottom line, the Marriage issue is not what I'm going for here, and if it does pose a problem, it can be fixed by simply defining more clearly the laws of Marriage in the IRS.
