No, my good sir! May it live and prosper! What reason has it to die?Should it pass, we would have the benefit a duke with many years more experience than the current. The older Hyperborea would become a duchy, which is beneficial because it has a more developed culture which would help to foster the younger Elwynn. Hyperborea is also generally more active. Its value, both historical and present, warrants us to give it an elevated position within the nation. -Gryphon Avocatio- Lord Governor and Duke of all Yardistan - Minister of Research and Education, Shireroth - Shirerothian Elder - SAVE THE KIWI!! - Lover of Llamas Give me your child, and by the age of five, I can make him a priest or a thief or a scholar.

You cannot just say that it's a bad reason because you have another reason, - especially considering the fact that you didn't even give us your reason. Now, I'm not saying that being Elwynnese is the only reason anyone can vote against it, I'm just saying that it is a valid reason to.See, call E being Elwynnese, and R the reasons to vote against this bill.E€R, therefore E->R, but R!->E and R!€E(where € means "element of" or "subset of", -> means "implies", and ! means "not necessarily")In other words, by saying that E€R, I am not restricting R to only E. You can still have your other reasons; be my guest. However, DNB's potential reason E, being an element of R, is a valid reason. That's all I was saying. Now, if you're going to argue against someone, at least put up an argument, rather than just denying that person his opinion. You have no right to tell off peoples' opinions without reason just because you don't like them, not here. This forum is not under your jurisdiction. If you were Prætor or Kaiser, then by all means, oppress the multitudes. But alas, you are not.*dances around impeccable logic*Edit: And you may have guessed by this that no, I don't get your point. I like american long grain R!€E best......anyway...being elwynise is one good reason, but also the fact that I used to fear Siskinds avatar, but now that he has a new one, i can go against him without fear.also, Siskind, by being old school, and big in with the upper levels of shirothian society, allready has loads of power anyway, and dosent need more. also, hypaborea has that locke bloke in it...and all I no about him is that ihatelocke1666 used to be the password to a secret area of puritania, so someone must have reason to not like him, and that his collegues name is banned from here.Quote: It is possible it has something to do with Mari, who ahs been quite silent on the subject...apart from being the dutchess, whats she got to do with it?*becomes suspicios* "Disclaimer: Whatever is in the above post is probably a result of my blind following of Kieran Bennett, because I have even less of a brain than Kieran. Phoenix, I was not arguing against him I simply wanted to give him a chance to express why I should vote against the bill. Nothing I said was ment as an atack or to belittle his opinion. As for your post I find it to be far to agressiv rood and defenciv. I take ofence to it and thus have nothing further to say about it. I will not argue with you I do not think that post is worth it.David, I hope I didn't insult you with my post and I hope you did not take it the rong way as Phoenix clearly did. If so I apologize. Mari has little to do with this? She's the duchess, she has a lot to do with this! The bill was posted on 19 Dec. She posted last (as far as I can tell) on 20 december. As a noble, it is her responsibility to check the Landsraad for bills and the like. And with the mango hanging in front of the landsraad, she should know that there are new bills there without even having to go in.

Okayokayokay, FOCUS!!Well, Mari's being given the rest of today to vote, or even to comment. Perhaps she has risen above us, and considers micronationalism a petty distraction. The question is not whether we like her, or whether she is a compotent Duchess, or whether we are being high-handed, but whether we really want someone who is not obsessed with micronationalism as the Duchess of Elwynn? We, the people of Elwynn, want a dedicated leader in charge of our Duchy.
