Ok – here’s an outline:Explanation of how the economy works:Each person in the economy selects a name for their company if they want a company. You don’t have to run a company but if you do there is more expected of you. You can decide to act as an individual under your own name, or you can do both. Also each person who will run a bank account for another entity of some sort announces that. This might be for their Duchy or Baron here in Shireroth. Each bank account is given a starting cash amount.To make the beginning as random as it eventually becomes by order of economic activity each person picks a random eight digit incorporation number different from others already chosen – after which I alone keep track of that. Based on how much activity you or the entity has, you/it receives a salary. There are bonuses given depending on factors that occur as the econ. sim progresses.Company’s starts with complete ownership of all the stock for their company, individuals start with no stock ownership. They do however gain “Rights to Purchase” shares of the various companies according to random factors that are different for each depending on their personal activity. Companies and people who begin at a later time start at this same point even though others already involved have more assets by that time.The economic activity is based on factors of activity determined by post made. Not everyone will be doing or gaining the same amount during the econ sim, or having to do exactly the same thing. At times people will have to pay out money and may take an economic loss. The Minister of Trade determines these factors and will post to each person about what choices they can make.The Minister of Trade determines from progress charts what economic activity takes place including dividends, expenses, taxes, insurances, and natural events (both favorable and unfavorable). The Minister of Trade posts the assets and debts for each company or person after each economic activity and the options available, basically running the bank. As the Minister of Trade gives a person the information about what is happening for them there are decisions that can be made, such as purchasing more stock via the Right to Purchase, buying assets or selling assets to other players at a free market value, etc. The more assets you own the higher your earning power and the more and/or less the other items affect your economic good fortune or misfortune. The bank will purchase stocks from any company or person at any time at a rate that has been announced in advance if they need to raise money and can’t make a personal sale. The rates will be different for various assets and will fluctuate for all assets. You must have a down payment of at least 12% in order to exercise a Right to Purchase and the bank will determine individually whether or not to grant a loan of any given amount based upon a debt to asset ratio of 80%. Your debt must not be more than 80% of your assets in order to borrow from the bank. The Right to Purchase can be exercised only during a time frame announce by the Minister of Trade and is different for each person or entity based on random factors of activity.Each company or person has a set amount of cash to begin the economy and may borrow from either the national bank as mentioned above or from others involved in the economy. The Minister of Trade does not keep track of personal debts but does move assets borrowed and/or purchased if agreed to by both parties. If money is borrowed from the bank the Minister of Trade does list it as a debt. There is interest of .05% due every so often at announced times and will be deducted automatically from your cash holdings. If a company or person does not have enough money and can’t raise enough money to pay the debt owed either to the bank or to another company all assets must be given to the creditor and the person may then start over. The Minister of Trade will accept economic activity as it is posted, this however does not mean that I would be responding on a daily basis – just updating on a regular basis.From time to time the simulation may be tweaked for improvements and suggestions are requested and encouraged.

Please tell me where to find the currency values you speak about – I’ll go a looking too –This econ sim will not affect the Coin Project, the two should remain separate.To sum it up in a few sentences – You start with a little money and are told what is happening to you economically. From there you make a few choices and are told what is happening to you next.You either do nothing or take a choice available – and you can spend and trade freely with each other.Scream – but don’t run away. At the worst stand on the sidelines and watch a bit. Maybe you’ll join the econ latter. Being in the econ shouldn’t be mandatory.

I’ve read the whole forum – the currency value (value of the €rb) is directly related to the coin project from everything I have read.The econ sim I would run will not, should not, does not, I don’t want it to – have any bearing on the coin project. Thus I suggest we leave the €rb as the currency for that project and choose a different name for the currency of this econ sim.Austi ScotMinister of Visions
