I got Colour of Magic, Reaper Man, Lords and Ladies and Small Gods signed. My sister got Good Omens signed.Reaper Man and Lord and Ladies were for my good lady Kaiseress, who was unable to attend the signing. The Pratchetty one commented on the tatty state of my books, to which I retorted "well-loved, you know". I proceeded to thank him for his work thus far, and asked him about the satire on Anne McCaffrey's books in Colour of Magic, to which he said that McCaffrey was a good friend of his. I have achieved one of my life goals. My sister was talking to him for a good while about how to pronounce her name. Unfortunately he forgot to sign one of her books, but she has the best anecdote. Thanks to her, Terry Pratchett knows how to pronounce Niamh.

It says "To Niamh, Burn this book! Terry Pratchett".I think he has stock inanities for each book. Colour of Magic has "More Wishes", Reaper Man has "Read And Then Reap", Lords and Ladies had "Now Read On!" and Small Gods (my favourite) had a sketch of a turtle with Terry Pratchett within it.

That's really you? I LOVE the hair... There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

Tis me indeed, although that was a bad hair day to say the least. I managed to brush out the matted part this evening, but it was a close thing

Actually, my old Irish teacher used to think I was growing my hair because I had a fear of hair cuts, I don't think she quite understood the youth culture of the last forty years or so
