Your yankee satirical thingamybob is finally being shown on a UK TV channel that I am likely to watch.I must say so far it seems mildly amusing, not especially subtle though.

Considering that a good amount of people go to the Daily Show for their news rather than other America news sources (And even the news sources treat the Daily Show to be more akin to a news source), that speaks volumes for the American news networks. Brits don't get American humor, Americans don't get British humor. For you to think it's even midly amusing is more proof that it is the best television show ever. You wouldn't believe how many people want Stewart to run for President in '12.

And we have, thank you. There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

The implication that there is in fact something to "get" about American humour is somewhat suspect...I didn't "get" the Daily Show so much (and I still have all those DVDs in my attic, Scott. Yet to watch them, but still) because my knowledge of American interior current affairs is somewhat lacking. Aside from that, what is there?

Luckily, Canadians get both American and British humour so I can thoroughly enjoy shows such as the Daily Show and still understand what Monty Python is getting on with

I enjoy humour. And I've been watching the Daily Show for over a year now and I must confess it seems to be rather funny.
