The Duchy Reorganization Act did not affect the lawbook, if I remember correctly, so no editing was done. The Feudal Holdings Acts all failed, but James' Voting Freeze amendment passed (which I believe I edited in immediately). That's pretty much it from my tenure. The bills that I said were not included were some from Eoin's time as Praetor, not from mine. I had those on my to-do list at the time of the attack. *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

The Lawbook has not been updated since a few months before the Plague. That means that all those laws that were passed between then and the Plague are lost, which is Bad.I remember the gist of exactly one law - the Duchy Reorganization Act. If anyone can remember any others that definitely passed the Landsraad, please post them here so we can add them in. You don't need to remember the exact wording, just more or less what it did.And if anyone has any spiffy tricks for recovering them, or saved copies of them, that would be nice too.

I thought that the DRA affected the lawbook in that we passed a law saying Duchies should have five active people rather than four inactive ones.

Two things: The Lawbook still implies that Duchies have SIX votes, not ten. And my Voting Freeze Amendment never made it in, nor did my Implied Summons Bill. The Implied Summons Bill is on the Wiki, and I can rewrite (and repass, if need be) the Voting Freeze Amendment. Blindness Is A Blessing

Please do so, on both. And if you feel so inclined, please draft up some legislation to fix the voting distribution to the 10 we've been using. I think that was just one of the laws from Eoin's time that was put into effect but didn't get into the lawbook.Could you also post a link to the Implied Summons bill (because I'm lazy and don't want to have to go searching for it more than once), so I can edit that in soon? *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

I was under the impression that the FHA affected that, with the DRA being totally separate and only affecting land distribution. If that's not the case, then that point of the law has been lost, as I don't believe I edited anything in from the DRA, and I don't have a copy of it saved.I'm considering adding a point to the Procedures that states that the current or acting Praetor is required to back up a copy of each piece of legislation (and whether it passed or failed) somewhere, be it their hard drives or some online storage. That way we won't lose the individual laws if we ever get hacked again.EDIT: And by "adding" I of course mean "writing a law that would add". *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!Edited by: Hypatia Agnesi at: 8/17/05 17:04

The Implied Summons Bill isn't in the Lawbook because it went into the Landsraad Procedures; it comprises Section D. Therefore, no editing is needed on that score.
