Fax wants to advertise on a site that he says can get him a great deal. The cost is $35. He's willing to pay some of it, I'm willing to pay some of it, and the Shireroth treasury is willing to pay some of it, but we are in need of contributions, especially since some of my advisors have brought up the excellent point that we should be on a firm footing regarding the site and forum before we try anything fancy.I think the fundraiser plan is this: anyone who pledges at least ten dollars to the Republic will get a nice set of erb mailed to them as soon as the erb is designed and printed. These won't be intended for use as currency, although I suppose if you mail them to the Minister of Trade you can be credited with their face value in online erb. The point is just to have nifty Shirerithian paper money.Payment is a problem. I am hoping Fax can pay for the ad out of his pocket for now until we figure it out. If you have paypal, you can pay him that way. If you live close enough to him that you feel safe either giving him or mailing him money, you can pay him that way. If you have a credit card, I am working on an arrangement to make credit card payments possible but I'm not guaranteeing it will work. If you live in a country that doesn't use the dollar as its main unit of currency, then probably you'll have to wait until we figure out the credit cards, and then you can all send your euros or pounds or cowry shells to some designated person in your country with a credit card and he can pay from there.

If I could pay, I would, believe me, but I don't think I could sneak $10 from my mom's credit card

Re: Advertising
Money's rough right now. I have school coming up and I need to buy a new computer so I can stop borrowing Erik's (my dad is being annoying and not actually doing it like he promised). Books and other things, and a few things I've been needing to buy that I've been putting off. I will help pay for the site or for the board when the time comes, though. Hit me up then. And when I say I have no money, refer me back to this post and tell me I have no excuse. 3e knowe ek that in fourme of speche is chaunge / With-inne a thousand 3eer, and wordes tho / That hadden pris now wonder nyce and straunge / Us thenketh hem, and 3et thei spake hem so, / And spedde as wel in loue as men now do...

Foghorn - and how did you get this money?Gryphon made us this as a potential banner. Fax also has an idea which I don't have the link for but he can post here. If anyone else wants to make one, it will certainly be duly considered.

I've still got all my previous banners in Photoshop format, so if there's anything anyone can suggest to make them better, just IM me and I'll whip something up. Re: Advertising
The graphics need to be far more clear than that, for one thing. I certainly hope the final products will be more crisp. 3e knowe ek that in fourme of speche is chaunge / With-inne a thousand 3eer, and wordes tho / That hadden pris now wonder nyce and straunge / Us thenketh hem, and 3et thei spake hem so, / And spedde as wel in loue as men now do...

Re: Advertising
I'm sorry, but that was never too good of a font in the first place, and that banner just kills it. They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...

Re: Advertising
I meant more along the lines of a new font, not the same font with different effects. It just looks like a novelty font that would only work on titles to me. They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...

Re: Advertising
Personally, I very much like the font because it's not something you see all the time. It sort of fit, the same way our weird banners sort of fit the subdivisions. Also, the last grouping are much clearer than before. I think it works. *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!
