From what I understand:1. We are still hoping EZBoard can fix everything.2. If they don't, we're still hoping we can order a restore, which would just require saving the recent posts, which we have.3. If we can't, we are trying to collect threads from people's caches.4. If that does not work, both Ari and I have some threads collected through Ruby Pike (thanks to Gryphon's quick thinking)5. If that doesn't work, we're screwed. Yes, I have a current copy of the Lawbook, with the only changes made (by me) in the form of useful formatting (with ezcodes). *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

Has anybody noticed that the Lawbook has been lost in the attack on EZBoard?I was talking to Erik this morning, who heard about the attack and was asking me about it, and he said that he should have a fairly recent copy of the Lawbook on his computer and that if he gets internet access he will post it. Unless, of course, the Praetor's have been doing their jobs and backing up like they should be.Has anybody realized that something much more important than SPEAR is going on? We should be trying to assess the damage to our nation rather than bitching about Attera and Babkha. We ought to be saving stuff while we still can. 3e knowe ek that in fourme of speche is chaunge / With-inne a thousand 3eer, and wordes tho / That hadden pris now wonder nyce and straunge / Us thenketh hem, and 3et thei spake hem so, / And spedde as wel in loue as men now do...

Quote:4. If that does not work, both Ari and I have some threads collected through Ruby Pike (thanks to Gryphon's quick thinking)I'm pretty sure that this is mostly meaningless and by the time wget got to the threads they had already disappeared. I just used the situation as an excuse to hit Shireroth's board with ridiculous numbers of requests (one day I will calculate how much a complete run of Ruby Pike costs even if it's perfectly efficient) in order to enlarge the rejection list...... Joe had a rather complete rejection list somewhere... now someone just needs to find it... that someone being Scott, I think. Jag har glömt hur pjäserna stod!

(since people probably are wondering... "Ruby Pike" is a pretentious name for a wget command line that recursively fetches all of the threads on a forum. The easy part is fetching everything, the hard part is not fetching the huge amounts of redundant stuff that there are links to here) Jag har glömt hur pjäserna stod!
