Howdy

by Scott of Hyperborea
I heard a story about a micronationalist whose prospective employers ran a Google search for his name and found his micronational career, and, while it turned out okay for him, I'd rather not have to worry about that kind of thing - especially since I recently had some friends who I did not really want to know about my micronationalism discover it through the same means. Thus, my last name is now gone, and I'm now just plain Scott of Hyperborea. If you need to refer to my full name for some official document, use Scott Alexander, my first and middle names. Sorry about the change. Scott of Hyperboreaaka non-Newfie Scott

I think you will find it is too late. "Disclaimer: Whatever is in the above post is probably a result of my blind following of Kieran Bennett, because I have even less of a brain than Kieran. Don't even get me started on my lack of independent thought."

Just like they can't use long hair or race against you, but they still get away with prejudace like it...but as long as you explain that it's a "political simulation" they probably wont care...

On one hand it's a question of money, perhaps livelihood, so you can never be too careful...... on the other hand, it does sound a bit pointless to me. I mean, if you've been a good boy you can only find positive stuff about yourself online...* Googles for "Ari Rahikkala" *Let's see... profiles at a dead opensource game project, Slashdot, a reference to an establishment of disorder and decay, a story (the only one of my pieces of fiction I've ever been pleased with for a timespan longer than a couple of months) linking sexuality and cracking computer security in a very morally decadent way, some other stuff, a message saying "either way, theres bound to be some sort of baby eating involved today"... Do you really believe Project Bluebook revealed EVERYTHING the Army Air Corps knew? Do you know what REALLY happened at Roswell, New Mexico in the late 1940s? Have you even heard about the Men in Black? Do you have any friends who have `missing days'? Do you sleep with your window unlocked?Be seeing you...

Hehe, Shane was being background-checked for the FCA, basically the reserves, and he got a letter saying they had run it, with the name Shane Oldum rather than Shane Odlum. So, because of a spelling mistake, they did not find out that he had actually seceded the subarb of Blackrock into a militarist proto-fascist republic. Sure it's well for some.. Hm...*googles Aurefiction*Did you mean Pure Fiction?Let's see, well, yeah, allpoetry and micronations. The two things I used this name for.And nobody will ever know who I actually am and what other names I go under.Fear my multiple personality. Scott, have you considered the possibility that your future employer might also be a micronationalist and knows everything about you. Scary, isn't it.Yes, I'm talking to you, Siskind!

I told everyone I know about mn's years ago... I dunno what you people are all so scared of. If someone wants to find out about you, there are plenty of ulterior ways to do it.I've managed to keep track of Sirithils whereabouts on the net for about a year.... Besides, most people I show this stuff to are actually impressed with my work. So booyah. Useless art is simply tolerated vandalism. I am a vandal.

Once upon a time my work supervisor found out about my mn's habit from my (in retrospect totally foolish) misuse of the companies internet access. I believe his comment on the subject was to the effect whatever issues I had he would rather that I addressed them outside of work hours... later when I got slack he reminded me how easily he could have humiliated me in front of the entire workforce with proof of my internet habits... it had the desired effect.

Now you know Scott, why I have used a barage of multiple assumed names all over the internet - so none of my friends can stumble onto what ass as 'fun'

What scares me though is, when you look up 'Ozarka Monto' it brings up two pages about the Communist Sector :)
