According to this Special Edition, it seems that Ashkenatza is in a state of flux on several issues: its status as a micro-nation or a community, its name, as well as its Bundist politics. With regards to the issue of Ashkenatza being a micro-nation or a community, I think that whether an entity is a micro-nation or a community depends on the interests of its citizens and/or participants. Also, I think that the entity can be both at the same time. However, if the entity has no seemingly functioning governmental simulation, then it is not really much of a micro-nation anymore.

Quick update on the Election: Astopov and the ADP are currently refusing to submit a Manifesto before the election as is required of them by law. The acting Speaker of the Knesset has declared that the election will be postponed indefinitely until Herr Astopov complies with the law. Fingers crossed we can have the vote by the end of the week.

Perhaps the civil war will be in Ashkenatza at this rate.

Tell him that if he doesn't submit a manifesto by the day before Election Day, he can't run.

Huzzah for election laws...

Incidentally, Maksym, my thanks go to the Tagblatt for their congratulations. As soon as I can remember how kosher laws apply to spicy chicken, I shall have some sent forthwith!

The standard Kosher slaughter of the chicken in question should be quite adequate, and ensure the crispy batter doesn't include any dairy product. The same applies to all other meats, Ocians included.
