Yes, all that and more. I'll begin crafting the general storyline soon, perhaps incorporating elements from Old Byzantia. Currently I am pondering whether Illumination is best a republic or a constitutional monarchy. Moreover, the idea of an absolutist but wise and benevolent monarch is appealing, and I am considering it too. While it is obviously unrealistic, this is a fantasy nation so perhaps the monarch could be those things--the result of, perhaps, one of his ancestors being a (good) Shirerithian demigod.

Ozarka Mons worked really hard on Illumination. You should take a look at his work, particular on the collaborative story of Phoenix Forest.

I am reviewing it currently. Some of it may be incorporated.

I really enjoyed the Phoenix Forest Story. I wish they'd finished it.

The story will be finished at some point. I have just contributed a new post to the thread. Hopefully this recent post will set some matters straight, while at the same time open up new avenues through which others can contribute.
