IMPERIAL ORDER I2II: GRANT OF TITLES
17 IKOLSTYME, 3973 ASC

First of all, all current holders of non-hereditary titles (Margrave, Thane, and Jarl) are removed from their positions. This in no way means I am unsatisfied with them, only that I want to give the country time to sort out multiple title issues and to shake things up a little.

I hereby grant non-hereditary Noble Civitas status (Jarl in the old system, Thane-Palatine in the reforms currently being debated) to the following people:

Ardashir Osmani of House Kalir
Falkner van der Sluijs of House Kildare
Jacobus Loki of House Kildare
Jonas Windsor of House Kildare
Harvey Steffke of House Mortis
Malliki Tosha of House Mortis
Shyriath Bukolos of House Mortis
Ari Rahikkala of House Tessier-Ashpool

All of these non-hereditary titles will expire at the end of my reign. My successor may choose whether or not zie wants to renew them.

Although this may have already been done, in case it hasn't I grant or confirm the hereditary Noble Equestrian status (Baron in both systems) of the following people:

Gregory Russell of House Annexis
ICEBREAKER of House Tessier-Ashpool

Dukes know who they are.

All people named in this order receive Landsraad voice and votes according to the Lite Vegetable Broth Act of 3968; they should familiarize themselves with its terms and with their new privileges. I will be granting them access to the Landsraad forum shortly.

With respect your Niftiness, I would like to decline, for reasons we already discussed.

Oh. I kind of hoped I'd convinced you those reasons weren't relevant. Okay then.

Unless you have some deep objection on basis of principle, you're keeping the title to save me from decreeing it away. There's no obligation to vote with it if you don't want to, and it expires at the end of my reign anyway.

It just takes an order, not a decree. And he can always not accept, thus it takes neither order nor decree, it just doesn't happen.

I'm glad to see you continuing with the orders, Your Niftiness. If this becomes tradition and norm, hopefully we won't have to go back and sift through hoards of old decrees to see if something has been missed. We can just look in the Decreebook.
