Imperial Order AII-14
An Order to Provide for the Banishment of the Troll Aster
For being a general pain in the ass, I hereby ban "Aster" until further notice.

I protest! You're behaving like a tyrant.
If you don't lift this banishment, I (I don't know about other Kildarians) will be very tempted to give up my support to the Imperial Throne.
Yes, the Kaiser(ess) is all-powerful, but you went to far. Banishment is a very heavy punishment, not one you should use for the behaviour of Aster (which I quite enjoy from time to time).

This is not a democracy. You are the first one to point that out when things go your way.

Banishment has nothing to do with majority. It's not because we're a feudal nation that you can do whatever you want. You're behaving as a dangerous geek and it wouldn't surprise me that Kaisers in the future will lose their administrator-rights because of your actions.
If you don't have the support of a majority of nobles, you stand nowhere. That's also something I (and others) have pointed out several times (I think you said it yourself too).

This is an absolute monarchy. I saw a problem, I fixed it. That is the way you usually want things to be handled.

You make it ridiculous. Even in an absolute monarchy, a King or Kaiser couldn't just let his opponents disappear.
I hope you're proud about it: your name will appear in history books as
"Anandja II, power hungry and bloodthirsty tyrant, who solved his problems by banishing them."

He's not a citizen and therefore not protected by our non-rights.

Jonas, please be quiet. The Kaiseress was acting entirely appropriately in this regard.

I fully support this move by the Kaiseress. Aster wasn't a political opponent; he was a self-proclaimed troll trying his best to make fun of us and make our problems worse. My sense of humor on the matter died when it stopped being a funny running gag and started to seem more like an actual attempt to destabilize the country.
And wow, Jonas is protesting something the government did. Someone call Guinness; this is unprecedented!

Sorry, Jonas. I'm with the Kaiseress on this one.

Although my discussion with him last night surprisingly ended up with us understanding a little more of where each other might be coming from, the trolling was getting annoying and I think the Kaiseress did the right thing.
People forget that we are a tyrannical monarchy around here, and the fact that the Kaiseress is too benevolent to use her full powers most of the time just means the people who really deserve a smackdown will never see it coming.

"THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
THEN THEY CAME for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up."
Pastor Martin Niemöller
We are a tyrannical monarchy with a wink and a nod. Those of you who support this tyrant's actions should read the quote above a number of times and think about it very hard.
It is time for Anandja to step down.

Banishment is as close as a micronation can get to the death penalty. She is out of line, and it is terribly sad that so many do not see that.
Of course many tyrants have popular support, as long as they are oppressing the unpopular minority.

As close as it can get, that may be true; but nonetheless it is not the death penalty. Aster will not be prevented from going to any other micronations and doing as he pleases, so long as they'll accept him, and I doubt he was fond enough of Shireroth to pine for it. Very strong the sentence may be, but not cruel by any stretch of the imagination.

I have a feeling that if I were still on Jake's good side, he would have supported this move. That's the problem with Jake. Everything he does is dependent on personal feelings towards people, not necessarily the merits of what is being done. If I decreed Shyriath's flag the new flag of Shireroth, and thereby bringing back the old flag, Jake would probably complain about me decreeing it and not having it go through the Landsraad.

Bulls--t.
Mike is still on my good side. Anandja, well, she should fade away, the sooner the better. Banishment is Un-Shirirthian in the extreme. Anandja is a tyrant.
The Kaiser can and should be able to decree a great deal. If you decree the old flag, I will applaud.
But you need to unban Aster and apologize to Shireroth, to Ashkenatza, and to micronationry in general.

Bollocks Jake - Aster needs this kick up the arse as a reminder that he can't go around acting like a vulgar moron all the fucking time (as opposed to some of the time whilst in the safety of
clearly demarcated areas where he can indulge to his hearts content).
Now just shut the fuck up you whinny libertarian bastard.
Plainly spoken enough?

I would apologize to Shireroth if he was a citizen. He was not.
I would apologize to Ashkenatza if he was a diplomat. He was not.
You are neither the moral compass or conscience of Shireroth, so please forgive me if I listen more to other people than I do to you.

Jake man, this isn't systematic genocide of one's opponents or those deemed lesser by some cruel standard. Astar was basically begging to be banned. To have NOT banned him would have shown appalling weakness, both on the part of Kaiseress and on Shireroth itself. I am personally very grateful and relieved that we are made of better stock and stood up for the country.

....matter of degree........
As far as a moral compass goes, I'm far from that, but there are those who are even further.

I should have banned him under my reign, the fact I didn't is MY mistake. I'm the one who screwed up by NOT banning him. In the good ol' days he would have been gone in an instant.
House Mortis fully supports this punishment and, will help to enforce and defend it.

As Steward of the House of Kalir I support this noble and wise act of the crown. As Nohsi of Ashkenatza I note the situation with grave concern and shall keep the matter under review. As myself I am going to have a lie down.

This is starting to look too much like political parties - the same two people who most oppose the Kaiseress on the House system also oppose her on this ban. That can't be a coincidence.
Jonas, Jake, I don't want to get the country polarized into pro- and anti- Kaiseress factions. I'm fast-tracking my sphere of influence proposal that should help with the Duchy system and I've given Jonas access to...the place we don't talk about. If there's anything else I can do to convince you that the government's not against you and you don't need to start a rebellion or swear vengeance or something, tell me what.

Such things have to be discussed in public, like I said to Scott.
I'm against banning people, and even more if people are doing it by discussing behind closed doors.
And Harvey, I'm not protesting against the government but against the actions that were taken. By doing this by decree, the Kaiseress has become responsible (at least, in my eyes).

I was making a point. This trolling wouldn't have been tolerated in the past, and it shouldn't be now. And generally when I refer to the "good ol' days", I'm talking about the 7th Republic era. Hell, I banned a few people for less.
