National Railway System

The Ministry of Information is going to establish a national trunk railway system, and would like to nationalize the system that is currently in place in the old lands of Goldshire and Brookshire. What would a fair price be for that system?

Don't you own half that system?

I do. I own half, you own half. I think some reinbursement from the government would be in order since we put quite a bit of work into that.

Sounds good to me. Though I don't know how much it'll be worth. 100?

Sounds a bit low. Perhaps a neutral third party, like Andreas, should suggest a fair price?

1000? A bit high.
100 is a bit low.
Would this be for our shares together or individually? What's in the MiniInfo budget?

I don't think I have a budget atm. The price should be for the entire thing, and then we split it 50/50. I'll ask Andreas to propose a price.

Oh, we can get money by just claiming we have expenses for some roleplaying project that doesn't actually affect the country? Is that how everyone has been getting money all along?!
I secretly own the world's largest construction company. I want to build, um, a space elevator. I feel that 10,000 erb from the government to my account should cover my obviously outrageously high (yet completely nonexistent) expenses.

For the sake of reference, approximately how much is €1?

Don't be like that, Harvey. It's perfectly simple. A fair price is "what would you have been paid for bounties for doing this." The answer of which is probably 300-400 erb (if I'm remembering the railway correctly - it was mainly a series of maps, yes?). So does 200 each sound appropriate?

An idea isn't worth anything by itself. Everyone has ideas. If there was a website or something, fully finished and awesome, then it would be something to judge a bounty for. Bounties should be handed out for results, not for concepts.

I'm handing out the bounty for the maps, not the idea. If it were just an idea, just the name "Brookshire Railway", just a one sentence description of "We are teh awesome railway company",
that wouldn't be worth a bounty. But I distinctly remember maps.

Yes, there is a
map.
Harvey, is there something wrong? You seem to be more grouchy than usual? This is the point in asking Andreas to value the system, so that I don't give money to myself.

Kildfare has already its own railway system. Stay out! :P

In that case, I want to see a Kildfare map on Shirewiki within 24 hours.

Andreas, 200 each is just dandy, at least for me.

I had a ridiculous amount of perspective thrust down my throat lately. I think it's changed my outlook on things, and on the whole it doesn't seem to be viewing the little trivial parts of micronationalism in a very strong light.

I'm fine with it.

Should Your Excellencies wish to plan international services across the border, please be in reciept of a copy of the
Ashkenatzishe Ayznbanen Netzkart (
Ashkenatzi National Railways Network Map).
Links with some Shirereithan cities from our railway network are shown- I hope this is of use somehow!

Ah, the glory that is dr-spangle.com...
*Knits a sweater while waiting*
Yes, I will connect ShireRail to the Ashkenatzan system in all three places.

Incidentally Ashkenatza has
started exploring the possibilities of a high-speed rail network across our Benacian territories- perhaps at some point in the future this could be expanded to link in with any similar Shirereithan systems currently in existence?

There is no such system at the moment. After the ordinary railway system is up and running, possible high speed lines will be explored.
