Right, on the Agenda now that we're a House:


1. Confirm Daniel Llai as Patron of House Kalir.

2. Maintain the Council of Eliria (keep the name?) as the legislative body of the Kalirian lands.

3. Be Groovy.

I'd quite like to revert the name of the Council of Eliria to the Elwynns Riksdag (Diet of Elwynn) provided for under Decree XVIII.

Council of Kalir would be a fitting name for this body.

I disagree - as it would be preferable to maintain a link to the Duchy from in which this House originated.

That could be done much better by referring to the origins of this house in the charter of the house.

Again I disagree - that could be reinforced by references to the origins of the House contained in the Charter but it is also of the utmost importance to retain the link through the civic institutions we create which shall exist for day to day use and in so doing continually reinforce and strengthen the identity of the House of Kalir as the seat of the Elwynnese nation.

The Academy of Elwynn, anyone?

Well, keeping Council of Eliria as name of this body would also be fine with me since it has been the name of this body for so long.

I like Council of Eliria. Riksdag sounds soooo Germanic, and as for House Kalir, I'm still a little squirmy about everyone here being my great grandson or whatever.

Recalling the Hurmu, Crandish and heavens forbid Stormarker periods... Riksdag is quite apt. But if we were subsequently granted Eliria and Utasia by the Imperial Government then continuing with the Council of Eliria would be the most popular choice and we should go with that.

I will likely grant that land to the House.

Well, as Ric said, Scott, if you're uncomfortable with it we'll change the name. Why can't we just call it House Kalir and for the sake of RP... not have us descended from you? Is that allowed? Or we can all be adopted. :P
