CJMiller and Mike are up for Deputy Praetor, since the Praetor is MIA it's important we get one in place.

According to the Procedures of the Landsraad only Duke's can vote with 10 votes, or split them up. Since we still have Dukes, and haven't written new procedures for the soon to be system, nor defined it in the lawbook. No. You have no vote. There are 4 Dukes at this time. Thus 4o votes. I could in theory just decree you a Duke to keep the numbers odd till we get the new system in place. But that might seem a bit... questionable.

In that case I just want to also point out that House Tosha-Straylight does not have any sort of representation in the Landsraad. Which is basically why I think the system should be worked out first before we have votes in the Landsraad.

I hereby decree you a Duke-at-large, for at least the next week. There. You are represented, as am I now. You have no powers over autonomous nobles and commoners, but you can vote on behalf of them as a group.

But I do have authority over my House, I presume?

If they existed yet.. you would. Before we can implement the system we need voting procedures that... actually.. we don't. ...As long as I put in place some Dukes... anyways. We need a Praetor. Even if just Deputy.

I won't have the time till monday to make all the needed decrees. So just consider yourself a Duke for now, so we have an odd number, till we can sort everything out.

yeah yeah. Things are a little hectic now. I didn't mean to instate the houses till AFTER I disolved the Duchies.. but people seem to be jumping the gun and considering them in place. .. so.. yeah.
