Are we sustainable?

Hey guys
How do you feel about Brookshire's future? What should we do?
How do we get more people to join?
Right now, Brookshire has only got two active residents, me and Malliki. The rest are gone. Is it worth being a duchy still?

I guess merging Brookshire and Goldshire together isn't a bad idea. But it should be a merger, not a takeover of one by another. The new duchy would then be called the "Duchy of Brookshire-Goldshire."

That's a very good idea.
Do we still get Ynnraile?

Only Goldendown.

Don't forget that Goldshire exists only thanks to Brookshire.

Yardistan will happily annex you both.

I have no problems with Lakhesis being annexed by Yardistan. I am a Yardistani from the beginning you know.

NO ANNEXATIONS IF KILDARE DOESN'T GET ATLEAST ONE COUNTY!

It seems strange that while activity is pretty much "okay" the Duchies are in danger of falling like dominoes.
Perhaps put Wil of the Nider-Zirandothel-Wombat complex in charge of the Aureate Duchy of Brookshire.

In ancient times, three powers controlled the southeast of the continent: Brookshire, Goldshire, and Musica. Musica was the independent city state right between Brookshire and Goldshire.
I think "Duchy of Musica" would be a nice name for the new unified entity.
Also, no splitting Ynnraile!

I would assume that Musica would be ceded to the new Duchy then...

One can always make it so.

Wasn't musica retconned into having a more ancient name, I think it was Tirot? If so it would probably be better to use that name so the duchy isn't stuck with seeming to be a glorified city-state.

I would mention that Goldbrook is technically not a terrible-sounding name, but then I'd be cast as the guy who brought up the idea of naming a duchy that, and I really wouldn't like that because despite the technical lack of terribleness I just hate the name.
The Duchy of Musica, though... if I were Brookshirithian I would so be behind that. And, well, even as a Straylightian I am.

I think Duchy of the Shires sounds cool
But, do we want to merge? Does Goldshire want to?

Duchy of the Shires sounds too Tolkien. I still support Duchy of Musica (and Erik too, incidentally).

We really shouldn't rename our combined Duchy after an entity that's not currently part of either one and is culturally divergent, at this point.

It's not named after the city of Musica or the county, but rather the fictional people/nation that was here before Shireroth.

I like Shireshire
Goldbrook is also cool.

To my ear, "Goldenbrook" sounds better than "Goldbrook".

Like Scott said, Goldenbrook was also the first thing I thought of when I saw this proposal.
Alternately, naming it after simple geography works quite well from a 'neutral name' standpoint; e.g. Duchy of the River.

So here's the deal:
Goldshire, Musica, and Brookshire will merge in entirety. The capital will be Musica and the entire combined Duchy will be known as Goldenbrook. If we have a problem with the name, we can change it later. Everything else internal to the Duchies...Baronies and Counties and the like will stay the same and if anything comes up we can sort it out later. The Kaiser will name one of the residents of the aforementioned regions as Duke of the new Duchy.
I will represent Goldshire in these negotiations. If Brookshire agrees, let it be done. Rather, I request Brookshire's agreement so we can get things done. We can debate the name and the like later.
