Imperial Decree #426: Precautions Oustfest (2)

By the power invested in me by the Gods,
1. Imperial Decree 425 is hereby repealed.

2. The Oustfest on the 14th January (Vivantiana 25) of the Gregorian Year 2009 will be marked with following important changes in Shireroth that will take effect from that day:

A. The temporary flag of the Imperial County will be the one which was drawn by Scott of Hyperborea (till a new one is adapted):


B. Straylight will have my approval to be annexed by Yardistan. When both Dukes agree, the annexation will be completed and the Straylightian subforums moved to where they belong (in Yardistan or the archives).

I'm still doubting about this decree, as it would look like I'm scared to get thrown of my Throne by Erik. But... meh... don't really care what people think about that.
This should give the Landsraad the time to debate the matter.

About the decree: I already thought my action was a bit to fast and with a lack of debate, for which I truly apologise to the nobles (not the peasants) of Shireroth. I was planning to repeal it tonight, but I didn't (I got distracted and thought today would be al right too). But when I read these posts (and Erik freaking out like usual ), I understood my error.
Nonetheless, I will not abdicate. Firstly, there is no reason for it, as the flag has never officially been instated as flag of the Imperial Republic. Secondly, my time hasn't come.

The rebels can rebel as much they want, but I will not abdicate (yet). Let that be clear.
They have, of course, the opportunity to become once more a loyal ally to the Throne.

All hail Kaiser Leto. May the rebels be crushed beneath his meticulously polished boots.

The ISI wasn't completely crippled in the attack. Tracking is still a capability.

I thought the Kaiser had a space station to where he could flee?

Well he does.
But that particular space station just so happens to have ISI printed in giant block letters on its side. I could always aragne a flight to the station though, should you feel that it is safe.

I would add that if anyone tried to pull this shit under Henry VIII they would be beheaded so fast you wouldn't have time to "guillotined". I'm not sure why people thank that just because there's a screen separating them from the Kaiser that they can deny his power as absolute ruler. Unless Shireroth is going to have another revolution?

If the power was that absolute, the vast majority of us wouldn't be here at all. Shireroth is not an medieval european nation. The fact is that the Kaiser cannot rule without backing by at least a sizable fraction of the population. Leto III will need to learn this lesson, and well, less his reign be a mere footnote ending with an unfortunate end.

Only because there's no one but Ardashir to cut people's heads off...it's just a staffing shortage.
