To the last he grappled with Shireroth, and from Hell's heart stabbed at us, but now he is done for: Aurangzeb Khan has abdicated the Golden Mango Throne in favour of Leto III, previously Duke Jonas of Kildare. The coronation was met with popular accolade except for the minor detail of the attempt by Earl of Dolor, now rebelling against the fourth consecutive Kaiser, to assassinate the fresh ruler. Aside that, Leto is off to a flying start on his reign, having already declared himself above grammar and promised a trip through the Republic where each Duke is expected to submit a list of places for him to visit.
Welcome, Gareth Arthur and Thomas Gaudin! Both of our new citizens have earlier micronational experience and seem to be settling in excellently, however, the behaviour of the MiniImNat has been called into question for what seems to some like overly pushy advertising of the minister's home duchy. DON'T JOIN KILDARE, IMMIGRANTS! MALARBOR'S MOMMY ISSUES DEMAND IT!
Outside the bounds of Shirithian sanity and niftiness, Amokolia got annexed by Victoria with some fanfare despite the protests of some who said they would be seceding again within a few months. Well, Amokolia sure proved those people wrong, taking only five days to declare independence again. Want to meet sane and nifty people? Then come meet Shirithians sometime in 2010 although we don't quite know when yet.
Finally, from me and the rest of the growing pantheon, a very merry Newtonmas, and a slightly belated Nelagamas, Harveymas and temporary Small Commonwealthmas to everyone!
