Maybe the new Minister of Information can exert some pressure on the Small Commonwealth's Aurora news agency so that citizens' articles can get published. An article I wrote on why Antica should join the Small Commonwealth and Shireroth's relation to that organization was mentioned to the Aurora's Editor in a forum thread, then submitted to him via private message, but never published. Conversely, a similar article I submitted to the Antican Liberator, slightly modified for an Antican audience, was published by that news agency. Moreover, that article was no waste of words, and was, as it turns out (though I knew it all along), prescient. The thoughts and sentiments expressed in it are now shared by other Anticans, and Antica's Assembly is even giving serious consideration to the possibility of ratifying the core treaty of the Small Commonwealth, and thereby joining that organization, as was promoted in the article.

That is definitely not anywhere in the Minister's range of duties, nor would I be particularly obligated to accept it if he claimed that it was, considering that the Aurora is a privately-owned Nelaga-based newspaper and is answerable neither to the Shirithian government nor to the Small Commonwealth.
However, since you asked me so nicely and directly, I will say that the Aurora is on indefinite suspension for the time being. I got the impression that nobody was reading it. I'm also more than a little peeved at my defeat in the Secondus election and somewhat consider the running of the Aurora a benefit of having me involved in the Commonwealth; a benefit that the people sided against choosing in favor of another candidate. Pettiness has its place for sure, though since it was all my personal project I'm not losing all that much sleep over it, but neither am I answerable to anyone. In short, since writing even the shortest of articles takes a long time due to all the required backreading and linking and such, I felt it wasn't an effective use of my time if I am liked so little by the very people I wished to empower and glorify.
I regret that this turn of events hinders your own plans, but since mine were greatly hindered too due to election defeat, dems the breaks.

Well, that explains the future plans of the Aurora, at least for the near term. Now the great powers of the Small Commonwealth will have to consider whether to continue having a unified journalistic voice.

But Aurora was an initiative of Harvey, not the Small Commonwealth. Yes, it gave special attention to news within the SC, but no nation has ever decided to create a unified journalistic newspaper.
Harvey, I read Aurora. The only reason I never react on the articles is because I would have to log in. But I love the initiative.

Jonas, don't expect an Antican to get the facts straight when the opposite makes it sound like the SC equals Shirerithian imperialism, or something remotely similar.

Yet the Aurora appeared to be the unified journalistic voice for the Small Commonwealth. It had a prominent link on Shireroth's forum (which is a
de facto hub for the SC), right next to the Small Commonwealth Bank link, its tag line said, "News from the Small Commonwealth - and Beyond!" (as opposed to "news from X nation and beyond"), and Harvey told me to send the article to him to publish after it was made public that the topic would relate to the Small Commonwealth (indicating a special interest on his part in Commonwealth affairs).
Harvey deserves credit for creating that impression.

It is too bad the blog is shutting down now though.

The SC can't grant bounties, nor does it have any cash.

To Harvey's credit, the Aurora did appear to me at first to be the unified journalistic voice for the Small Commonwealth. Why not? It had a prominent link on Shireroth's forum (which is a de facto hub for the SC), right next to the Small Commonwealth Bank link, its tag line said, "News from the Small Commonwealth - and Beyond!" (as opposed to "news from X nation and beyond"), and Harvey told me to send the article to him to publish after it was made public that the topic would relate to the Small Commonwealth (indicating a special interest on his part in Commonwealth affairs).
Not meant bad but: that doesn't make it a project of the SC, does it? It's still an individual project of Harvey with help of others. The tag line "News from the Small Commonwealth - and Beyond!" just shows that it's main goal is delivering news from that part of the sector. And it sounds better then "News from a lot of micronations".
Besides, I disagree with what you say about the links: the calender, wiki are Shirerithian (not SC, but just from the nation), the MCS isn't SC and to your right you can see 'MNN news', which doesn't have many links with the SC either.
So is there a bounty for running the news blog? I will propose that the SC offer a bounty from the SC in order to do a newsblog, like a BBC of the SC. Harvey would get it for continuing his blog. Otherwise Harvey is just going to let it languish as he said.
The SC is an organisation of several states and has, for so far, no independent financial policy. So it can't give any bounties.
EDIT: I'm not opposed to an unified attempt of the SC to deliver news, btw.

Both of you posted before I could remove the part about the bounties and cash!
Since the SC can currently not offer bounties and cash for SC-related news production, I also am unopposed to the SC at some point considering the possibility of an agreement making some kind of unified attempt to deliver news.

I read it Harvey, and I voted for you. (Actually the Shireroth government votes for you).

I am thankful my job is not to harass Harvey about writing/posting the news.
I will, however, harass everyone equally and fairly to add more articles to the wiki and improve the ones that presently exist there.
Meaning I will probably end up doing most of said updating myself.
