Shireroth

2.2 Crown Currency represents the total sum of Erb not in general circulation and shall be held in The Shirithian Imperial Treasury account. The Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account shall act as the account of The Government Of Shireroth.
2.3 All Crown currencies shall be distributed from the Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account and all taxes payable in Erb shall be paid to and deposited to the Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account.
2.4 The sum funds residing in The Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account are reserved for the purpose of government spending as determined by The Kaiser, The Steward or by Act of the Landsraad.

C. The Erb

1.0 The national unit of currency used by the subjects and inhabitants of The Imperial Republic Of Shireroth shall be known as "The Erb". DOES THIS NEED TO BE EDITED TO CONFORM TO SCUE??

D. Distribution

1. Total Erb and its movement.

a. The total sum of Erb in circulation shall be 100 000€. We have more than this anyways, and with the SCUE it will be impossible to regulate.

b. All Erb shall be initially issued from The Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account and distributed to other accounts as stated within this Law.

E. Distribution of Money

1. All new citizens shall receive a bounty from the Treasury upon joining Shireroth.

2. A citizen who revokes their citizenship or is declared legally dead by The Kaiser or by Act of Landsraad will have their account revoked, and the balance returned to The Shirithian Imperial Treasury Account.

Okay, just a few issues with this proposal:

1. I dislike establishing the Steward as a separate office referred to in the laws. All his authority should be derived from the provisions in the Charter, making him dependent on the Kaiser. He should not be mentioned in the LawBook since saying "Kaiser" there effectively means "Kaiser and Steward". I know that the law as it stands mentions the Steward, but this is a good time to correct that error.

2. I am a bit iffy about using the term "Government of Shireroth". This is the only section of the LawBook referring to "The Government of Shireroth". In all other places, the form used is or is a variation of "Imperial Government". I think this would be a good opportunity to establish the Kaiser, Landsraad, Judex and Ministries as "the Imperial Government", for consistency and to avoid misunderstandings. The term doesn't even exist in the Charter or the DecreeBook.

3. 1.0 does not have to be amended to conform with SCUE, since each member nation can call the currency whatever they like.

4. The text of the Economy section is badly formatted for the way things are today. I think we need a more comprehensive amendment to this section to bring it in line with reality. I am most willing to help out on this, together with Allot and Andreas. Come to the Mango Bar forum and we'll have a powow. It'll also get some posts in that forum.

Yeah, quite right that we can call the currency whatever we want; and that we should have a bit of a more serious amendment. I'll head on over.
