JASO war, new Duke, foreign, NO MORE HOVERKITTENS

Congratulations to our newest Duke, Kostalan Rottsaa of Brookshire (aka Corey), and a sad good-bye to Duke Emeritus William, who will be concentrating his efforts on Livlandia from here on. And welcome to new citizen John Darcy, previously known to us as king of Novasolum and mastermind of the GSO.
All the hullaballoo over who gets JASO seems to be resolving in favor of the Nelagans, with the Kaiseress giving Erik a legal smackdown, the Ministry of Military Affairs delivering a tactical smackdown, and the rarely-sighted Harvey Steffke delivering a verbal smackdown. Things don't look good for the supporters of a Shirerithian JASO, but there remains hope for some sort of power-sharing agreement or something or something.
In foreign news, the Ashkenatzans are throwing a ball in our honor. Oh no! What ever shall I wear?! In an awkward bit of timing the Ocians have clarified that they do like and respect us at approximately the same time we clarified that we don't like or respect the Ocians. And representatives of Antica have come to our Ministry of the Exterior for their yearly session of "You guys still exist? Hey, so do we! We have so much in common!".
Treat the Malarbox with some respect, people. Bouncy hover-kittens? NO.
