I renamed the username field in the registration form to user_name (and changed includes/ucp/ucp_register.php accordingly). That *should* confound the spambots. Hopefully. Disabled visual confirmation too in order to improve the human convenience factor.

Hm, it seems this approach isn't very confounding. I'll try the anti-bot question mod or a variation thereof tomorrow... or... well... someday soonish anyway...
