Andreas' Shop

Can I have 'Andreas' Shop' in the South End Business District with me as mod? I've paid the appropriate fee.
Also, can you move the Companies subforum of MiniTrade there, and the Andreas' Shop thread from within it to the new subforum?
Cheers.

The SEBD looks kinda weird with the "Business in Shireroth" and "Companies" forums being separate... anybody mind if I roll the latter into the former?

I think it's a good idea, but didn't feel I should make the request.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Either all should be in one subforum, or all separate forums like the Shirithian Mercantile Exchange.
For now, why not delete "businesses" and move its subforums to "companies", since "companies" has a lot of posts in it.

What then is the purpose of the South End Business District?

It separates companies from MiniTrade. Or do you mean having it as a separate category? It would probably go better in Shirekeep City Centre, but we could always add that companies can pay extra money to have their subforum they already bought moved out to be on the main boards (though I'd say they have to provide a picture to go with it)

I agree with you entirely. I would rather see a forum in Shirekeep City for all the companies - the Companies could be subforums there. I think that would be better than a category.
I would like to see "South End Business District" as a forum in Shirekeep and all the other forums that are in it as sub-forums to that, with those in "Business in Shireroth" and those in "Companies" being combined into the Companies one.

So are we talking the same thing .... one forum, called "Southern End Business District" in Shirekeep, with all the currently purchased subforums under it, and finally the Company subforum (which has all the other businesses in it - those that haven't bought a subforum)?
If so ... Ari, please work your magic

One forum, called "South End Business District" (not "Southern End Business District") in Shirekeep, with two sub-forums. The Stock Market for one, then the Company subforum with all the others put into it. Other financial instutions that might be made should have their own top sub-forum too (should anyone ever do such a thing).
So combine the forums now in "Business in Shireroth" forum into the Company subforum and do away with the "Business in Shireroth" subforum. And move the whole thing to Shirekeep. Then get rid of the Category of South End Business District.
Sound good Andreas?

That works too. Either way you can view subforums on the main page, so ...

So, Ari, can this be done then?

I think it looks the way Austi wanted now... or not... I don't remember where all that stuff about buying subforums took place, but I'm assuming SMEX bought it and the other companies we have didn't... or did they? Or did all of the ones that have a subforum buy it? *forgets*
Anyways, I think that now that we have this arrangement, there could be three tiers of company forumness:
1. Registered companies that wish to have a subforum get one in Companies for free, or for a minimal fee
2. Companies that pay <place reasonable number here> erb get a place directly in the South End Business District
3. Companies that pay <place here a number that seems exorbitant at first but becomes quite reasonable when you consider how high the visibility of that forum would be> and provide a forum icon get a place *directly in the Shirekeep City Center*.
How would that sound?

That sounds like a plan. In that case, move Andreas' Shop and Microton to be on the same level as SMX (as they all paid) but leave Lamifo where it is (as they haven't paid the new fee). Other businesses can apply for their free subforum as they wish.

Since I'm the appointed "forum leader" for the South End Business District would you be so kind as to give me mod status?

That's going to be a lot of forums to handle... I'd prefer to do this through a role (like "Praetor" or "Dutch of Kildare"), but the legislation doesn't have a name for the role, so what would you like to be called? Business District Chief? Or Manager? Or... uh, yeah. Please come up with a snazzy name for the guy in charge of the SEBD.
Incidentally, I'm thinking of putting the guild forums in the SEBD, too (the Guild of the Machine God is already there so you can see the structure it'd have{. Just seems like the obvious place given that they are, in the end, about the economy. Sound good to you?

Guilds there sounds fine. I'm waiting for the Praetor to officially pass it before I write up the (brief) MiniTrade guidelines.

Sounds good to me, any suggestions for this "title" or "name". Exchequer? is all I can think of right now.
