I think you would enjoy it there. There are various cultures represented in the duchy. Please familiarize yourself with them and choose which area you'd like to live in.

So...Ardy is Duke there now...right? Or is it Harald still?

I just spoke with Ric (sorry, Ayreon) and he informs me that Elwynn is being reconstituted into counties again, and perhaps you'd be happiest waiting a short while duiring the reorganization.

And, I'm not sure how things will be in Elwynn now. I think the Kaiser will have something to think about.

As for Elwynn, last I checked the throne had been given to Hasan.

Gilrean, Elwynn is already our largest Duchy, and Brookshire really, really needs more people. I notice you listed Celtic and Irish culture as an interest. The Duke of Brookshire is named "Yvain" and has a triskelion in his flag - is that Celtic enough for you?

Didn't we used to have a law about directing citizens to duchies that needed new people, now that I think about it? Elwynn's really getting overcrowded, and I feel sorry for the Brookshirerithians and sadly Frisianless Straylighters.

If a person wishing to immigrate doesn't specify a subdivision, the Minister shall put that person i a subdivision with less people. But he or she cannot force anyone to live in a specific subdivision.

I could be convinced to live in Brookshire if there's a greater need for me there than in Elwynn. I'm not picky ^_^ and I do like celtic and Irish culture as well as the music, I actually attempted to learn Gaelic (and then I realized that it was really really hard >_< I still want to learn it but it's gonna take longer than I thought)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I developed a healthy suspicion for Gaelic when I lived in Ireland. It's such a beautiful looking and sounding language, exactly the sort I wanted to learn to speak...and then I tried to pronounce it, and inevitably made myself the target for hysterical laughter on the part of the natives.

I advise Yardistan if you want to join the awesomest Duchy (obligated because I am Duke), but I think all new arrivals should seriously consider Brookshire. It never really got onto its feet after we were revived last year. As such it's free to be moulded, but there is enough stuff there for it not to be boring. Well... I mean static things, of course nothing's actually going on there.

I advise Hyperborea if you want to join the coolest (ha!) Barony, but I join Benkern in suggesting Brookshire. It needs more people to get back on its feet, and because it's so sparsely populated, you've got a pretty good chance of getting yourself a quick and easy noble title if you start out there. Culture is medieval and maybe a little bit Celtic or Central European, and there seems to be a lot of artsy and rping stuff there.

I advise you to join Kildare if you want to join the second coolest, second awesomest and most interesting duchy!
