not wanting pity or anything, but just want to share my little adventure in the Iowa snows tonite! first i drive down 20 miles of snowy roads to see my boyfriend for dinner... i walk in and he says "we have to talk"

anyway... now that i actually have to drive back home tonite, im a bit miffed coz its fuckin snowing here in Iowa. so what happens? of course i slide off the road into a ditch... wait in the car for 2 hours for the tow truck. luckily i had my ipod and watched Saved! to pass the time.

but seriously... the worst luck. at least getting stuck in the ditch took my mind of being ditched


oh and i didnt get dinner!!

The worst thing that happened to me yesterday was that Smålandsposten wanted to ask me some questions when I stood at the train station platform. No, that wasn't a problem in itself. The problem was that I looked like Ola Salo and ended up in the stupid newspaper.

Thankfully all snow's gone here in Götaland and Svealand. Probably still up but only a million people live in that half of Sweden. But, Nathan, you have my sympathies!

Oh I am jealous of you William! Im originally from St. Louis, Missouri and so im just not used to this quantity of snow. It sometimes snows in St Louis but the snow melts in a few days. It stays on the ground until March here After being here 3 years my former love of snow has been replaced with dread :P

I see. I'm going to Cedar Rapids next weekend.

It's the middle of winter here and the average temp. is around 55-60 degrees.

I live in PA, and it's made me soft. I'm originally from New York. Western NY where we got lake-effect snow from Erie and Ontario both.
