I took my calc final today. It wasn't bad, but I forgot the mean value theorem and how to take the lim(x->0) sin(3x)/(7x). I got a 97 on my philosophy final....I was happy...since I only had to get an 80 on it to get an A in the class....heh...The physics final...gave me a headache and made me dizzy...I'm not even kidding...it wasn't too bad...just...overwhelming...but who cares! I took my Calculus final to-day, and I understood everything on it except two problems. The first involved finding local extrema and saddle-points of a function of two variables, and the second involved lagrange multipliers. Neither of these I knew anything about really... I think I must have missed those days, physically or mentally. But I was really confident about the rest of the problems. The only other hitch I got was one problem which required very little calculus and just a lot of multiplication... and the batteries on my calculator died in the middle of the test... so i had to multiply five by four digit numbers and more by hand... it took a shitload of time, and I ended up with numbers in the ten millions... plus some multiple of e^(-54), which I decided was insignificant and so didn't evaluate... damn evil calculations...Then when I handed in my test, the instructor told me that my math contest score (which was the highest in the school - community college, so not too great) placed in the top 40 for the western region, which includes all of california. Yayy! so I'm happy... now I have to remember to take the followup test in march... *jumps up and down for joy*and now all my college classes are over, and I get out of school at 11 tomorrow for break... head over to robotics until three thirty, then friend's birthday party (lotrIII) and then THE BIBLE: The Complete Word of God (Abridged)... and off to a happy holidae break. Whee! I am in a Middle College program... I take Latin at a high school, English and History at high-school level on the college campus, and then the rest of my classes (9 - 11 semester units) are college level...... this semester I kinda cheated and took a 3 unit course (psychology), a 4 unit course (multivar calc), and then to meet the unit requirement, two 1 unit PE classes (archery and karate) and I only have 6 units signed up for next semester - 3 of dif. eq'ns, and 3 of intro to mythology... now I need three more units! help me figure out what I want! suggest for me classes! otherwise I will end up signing up for a night class on 3d animation... yeah, help!
