*shrug* You bring something different (and noisy) to the table, I don't think it bothers anyone at all.

I bother myself on occassion.
Alright, let's break the deadlocks. While I've been stalling here, others have been stalling at the MCS, hoping that if they wait long enough we will give up what is ours, trying to be nice.
I urge a vote, under the old system, Dukes only, on the original resolution, up or down.
I resolutely urge a NAY vote, to be followed by a re-crafted compromise to essentially the same ends.

SILENCE IN THIS ROOM! Only voting is admitted. Please talk in the Landsraad Front Gate!
To all the Barons: shut your mouths!
To the Dukes: vote!
To the Kaiser: do whatever you want!
Kildare votes Nay untill the war is over.

Until the Landsraad changes policy, I'm honor bound to perserver!
Point of Order-
Mr. Lord Praetor, since the Duke of Brookshire "died", does his vote count in this particular vote?

Well, I've gone and used maths on them. But even considering that, Redoubt Island we want for sentimental reasons. It's the other half of Mar Sara that's actually old land. So, since we owe Interland/Batavie something ... how about this?
Interland did, after all, effect the defeat of Edward, almost striking at his capital ... and I trust Jonas to treat Enhasan with the respect it deserves as an ex-Jasonian city. It also makes us look magnanimous, surrendering part of our claim.

An old Jasonian city?
It would be a honour to protect and research its culture!
I would approve this last claim, we deserve it after all.

I'm actually going to change my tune .... it might be best to just withdraw the claim and let Interland/Batavie share the island, as long as they keep those cities on there for cultural heritage. Reclaim Mors Ara a while down the track when everyone's forgotten this .... and probably drop Jess' land gift too ... (or reduce it to just that strip of coast connecting Elwynn and Absentia)

I wil not post on MCS unless there is a war for some time to come, unless the Kaiser orders otherwise.
Some folks take their games way to seriously.
The sad part is that if I had invented, oh say three characters, and had one of them post on MCS, "Oh, hey, hi, I'm Norb Noob, and I wanna claim half that island for the People's Republic of Jacobiastan, " they'd give it to me.
Not that
ANYONE would
EVER do that on MCS, or
EVER get away with it.
No, no, don't tempt me!
Down, back! Back I say!

So a suggestion of creating a puppet state to get all the other old Shirithian land wouldn't be taken well? I didn't have the time for it anyway ...

Or an ally
(Batavia?) could claim some land and create a Shirithian Foundation that respects the culture. If I think about it, Batavia is on the map as the Commonwealth. So we can unite claimed lands as one 'state' / colony, that recognises the Kaiser and the Batavian King as head of the state (then we don't get too much problems with the system).
Or more simply, Batavia just claims the parts Shireroth wants and protects it's history and culture.
But could you change Enhasa
n to Enhasa? If we get that city I have a new (little) idea for my game.
All new territories in Batavia, that eren't meant to join a new or another state, become part of the West-Benecian Company, that's governed by the governement (= Governor) of the Province of Ingelburg. And I am the Governor, so I could protect the culture myself.
Batavia is of course not a puppet state, but a good ally that wants to help his friends

Sounds good to me, Jonas ... if the Landsraad/MCS won't pass it, you could also have the land gift from Amokolia, if Jess doesn't mind (though I think he wanted to rule that part, he might only want it to go to Shireroth).

If the Landsraad/MCS don't pass the gift Jess can't rule that part...
Maybe someone can make a map of the lands that were from Shireroth and needs to be claimed. Then I can create a Shirithian-Batavian Foundation (to see what plan gets the most favor: Batavia just claiming old land and placing it under the Foundation, making it a member state of the Commonwealth and recognise the Kaiser and King as head of state,...) ? I mean with this a map with claims that are reasonably, Batavia scored high at the Forumlist but that doesn't mean it can claim all old land, OR the
map of Malarbor.

I have seen the new idea of Andreas, where in Shireroth doesn't get a part of the island (because of 'holding to much land'

). So I have this new proposition:
Batavia gets Ardy's Reach. I had the idea to give it the following history: when the war started hundreds of poor Shirithian farmers went to Negala (I thought the the name of the island) in the hope to live in better circumstances. After the war finished they heard that Shireroth didn't get the lands. They had already build a better life on the island and didn't get back to their homeland Shireroth. Instead they became a part of Batavia, that recognised there culture (maybe thats a way to explain how Switching Day will get in Batavia*).
Like in the Jasonian time Negala is one of the places to go on holiday. Batavians go mostly to Enhasa, Shirithians go to Ardy's Reach.
*: I don't want to steal the idea of Switching Day, but I got the idea here

I quite like the idea of a Batavian company ... (if extra stuff was needed, an extra Gralan state is also possible, I guess). But can we clear up two things:
1. Are we dropping this claim officially? Be nice if someone said that on MCS.
2. Is the Landsraad (or MCS, for that matter) likely to accept the Amokolian land gift to Shireroth? Or should I just mod Amokolia into Oleslaad/Svensland without any Shirithian parts?

About this: in Batavia they are also supporting the idea of establising a new Member state. This new state could get a subforum on the forum of Shireroth, and officially has its own governement.
The Kaiser could have all the power, with a Duke and Barons and Counts. Like in a normal Duchy. Because of its independence a Duke of another Duchy can get also the title of Baron, Count or Duke. It must be made possible that membership in the memberstate doesn't affect the citizenship-rule (it's on this forum, with Shirithians that have all the power in the state).
But the Company idea is also one of the choses.

1. I don't want to say it but: Aye.
Ardy's Reach can become one of the first parts in the Commonwealth that gets protection of the Foundation.
2. Of course we accept

Therefore: The Landsraad orders that all current claims before the MCS for approval be rescinded, and no further claims be made for a minimum of 3 months from the passing of this resolution.
Now that we seem to be past most of the fighting, can we get an unambiguous PASSED from the Praetor so that we can *actually* take the good news to the MCS?

Milord Preator,
As was brought to our attention regarding the economic bill, this bill was open for much longer than four days.
Mayhap the Arbiter should be called in?
