I won a FNORD for the AEGIS protocol I developed to fight the computer-crashing bombs dropped on Menelmacar. Winning an award for national defense is sort of an odd thing for me, considered I focused on essentially everything but that in my prime time in micronations.

I never did get a shiny little medal, because it was one of the years before they had the medals. Maybe the first year?

Anyway, yeah. The FNORDs have been a bit too biased in past years for my taste. I really think Scott did a good job when he seemed to be essentially in charge of them. I know he's worried about his own bias, as well he should be, but at least being worried about is more than I can say for the other so-called judges.

Though I still prefer the good old days when we could just give awards to whomever we wanted for whatever reason we wanted. I got an award in Audentior way back in the day that made me real proud. I don't remember what it was because the website is long since gone though.

I received one last January for History. I was surprised as all get out.

In a way, I guess it was acknowledgement of my emergence from the wilderness, and the end of (a) certain war(s).

(Which is another reason why I'm frustrated about the death of the MNN-wiki.)
