That's a good start - keeping Imperial funds separate from the Kaiser himself (and thus out of voting).

The other questions are still all important and need to be answered, though ....

Despite the assumption, I do support this. :p

I'm still waiting for answers to those questions ...

I think every person would get a equal amount to start with.

and I doubt there would be any currency trade at this point with other nations.

Here you go:

1. Accounts not be allowed to go negative.
2. You can only have 1 account (confirmation codes required for creation?)
3. Only citizens can have accounts.
4. Who runs the bank? Is it under the jurisdiction of the MiniTrade directly? Or another body. of a subbranch.

1. Accounts should not be allowed to go negative. This would ruin the fun of participation. Instead we could come up with another solution via the courts.

2. I still stand by 1 citizen, 1 account. I don't believe in positional accounts. They get far tomplex and make a mess of a nice simple system.

3. Only citizens should have an account. Yes.

4. Who should run the bank? When I implemented this in Babkha, we created a position within the Judicial Branch who over saw the running of the bank and economy. The idea was to pick an individual who is not corrupt and has the best interests of the nation in mind. In Shireroth, we have a number of choices. But we must remember, its not necessarily who occupies a job now, but who may occupy it in future that you should think about. In my opinion we have three choices here:

1. The Kaiser
2. The Judex
3. The Minister of Trade

I had also thought of Praetor and Stewart, but both of those positions aren't suited entirely for the job. I think it would not be wise to choose the Judex since we want our courts to be objective if an economic situation arises. So that would leave the Kaiser or the Minister of Trade. I personally do not believe it should be the Kaiser as the economy has alot of importance to the dealings of the Landsraad. Which leaves The Minister of Trade. And I believe, this will raise the prestige of the office and who is picked to be the Minitrade in future. Thus my choice.

Just adding to that what was already said above:
There is an imperial account into which taxes go, and from which bounties are paid, which does NOT count for voting.
All citizens start with an equal amount.
There is no currency trade at this point.

Which then leaves two questions - how much do we float (and thus how much does the Imperial Treasury start with), and do we want to then go with the option taken up by other countries who, for whatever reason, don't want to exchange any goods or services, just resources, and create a further 100 000 currency (it can be erbs or it can be another name) which we can then trade 1:1 with them for, because they're all putting up 100 000 of their currency ...

Note: Yes the "Imperial Account" basically acts as a national bank or federal reserve (depending on where you're from). Very good.

I think if we started with 10 000 erbs total, that would be more than enough. Each citizen would get say 500? But only if they post a request for their allotment (to avoid dead accounts).

Down the line I want to take up the resource option as well. I just had a vague idea that foreign trade would allow us to create more erbs for the internal system, although I haven't thought that far yet. For now, I think we should stick with this, and once implemented, you, Erik and I can sit down and work out the next step once we see how this runs.

The other thing we're going to need once the law is written, is a common place where the bank can be accessed. Perhaps the Malarbor quote temporarily?

10000 in total, 500 each sounds good. Malarbor quote - I wouldn't put it in the quote, but in the links underneath. For example, is the Micronations Chat one any use there any more? We could replace that.

As to resources, I will bow to your request to get this running first. With the ideas basically sorted then, and the bank basically ready, how far off are we starting the economy?

Simply drafting the law in the Landsr Preferably a document which outlines how the economy is run, what the rules are and what is prohibited. So long as Erik feels comfortable to launch the bank then we're set.

Would you like me, as Minitrade to do it, or would you prefer to do so, as the one more experienced with this style of economy?

Give me the word, and 24 hours and I can launch the bank. I'll just have to clear the database... or just use the admin features to clean it up... and change the admin password.

Confirmation codes need to be implemented, and I'm not in a position to work on the bank right now. moving and all.. and hell of trying to kick someone out so I can do so...

No worries, I've been pulling 10 hours at the office every day for the past month. It's going to be at least until the weekend that am even going to attempt to draft something.
