Don't worry Ardy, there isn't any reason to take it personally. Hmm, that sounds a bit to dogmatic let me put it another way.

It's not us specifically he hates, its what we stand for see:
so I have no beef with you, just what you represent.
Although as far as I know Babkha stands for being a nation based off of Persian culture.

So remember. They don't hate us, they hate what we stand for: An understanding of Persian culture.

Wait, Let me try to frame this so so that it doesn't sound like Greg is throwing a xenophobic tantrum.

I'll come back to this.

In fairness I suppose it was the more enthusiastically Achaemenid aspects of Babkhan culture and diplomacy he objects to. But in the scheme of things I'm sure that business with the elves was something of an overspill from when Babkha under the guidance of Abbas Namvari backed the Banana-Telepath Menelmacar over the Space Age Tolkein Menelmacar in that nasty little civil war of theirs.

Can't be sure without checking Scott's histories though.

Call the vulture off. The prophecy goes that as long as Erik lives, Shireroth cannot die. And I haven't heard of Erik coming down with a terminal illness or anything.

And I'm surprised at your newfound cockiness. Surely you know that temporary micronational renaissances are a dime a dozen. Heck, we had one here last month. If you can get yours to last into the fall, then I'll be impressed.

Scott,
It wasn't meant as an insult, I was simply trying to get the attention of the nation (it apparently worked). I know very well that Shireroth isn't going anywhere. Just thought this thread has degenerated a bit.

I'm here, you're here, a Vulture's here, Delphi's lurking, His Niftiness isn't (with all hope) dead or mortally ill - what can go wrong?

Hesam,

Make sure that one of those vultures makes it back to Babkha - if we go seriously inactive in autumn I want one around to peck al-Fakhir's eyes out with.

Eriana, I believe there is a moon somewhere near Shireroth in desparate need of protection. Greg's been up to his old wiles again. :P

Oh, you mean Hubert the Hungry Vulture? No worries, he'll be around for a while. I think I saw a flock of his friends heading over to the GC. They just stopped to rest on Malarbor's branches as nostalgic Shireroth/Babkhan rivalry (which will begin shortly albeit with more class this time around on our part).

Really though, our carcass eating friend only stopped by as a friendly wake-up tap. :angel

Hmm as for el-fucker, I suppose this is the correct nation in which to raise a dred-legend ..... And I don't mean Mr. Marley of the Wailers.........

How about this:

Vijayanagara legend has it that if Babkha were to suffer inactivity as a result of al-Fakhir, that any nation he joins afterward will be cursed to die within 2 months of his joining it. Thus, no nation ever will grant him citizenship that they may avoid his scavenging curse.......

Interesting. Does it apply to communities where he is already a member?

Personally... I'm to lazy to bother with rivalries... do we really need to be rivals again?

No. Here, have a fermented mango drink.

Well I hate to say it but if you're going to make a triumphant return, now would be the perfect time. So far myself, Balty Majeed, William Bagram, George Nantell, Benazir Shahzamin, and Ardashir have made a triumphant return.

It's like a reunion special without the aging no-name actors.

Hmm left that one wide open for scathing humour....

Rakesh--I thought you would never stop by Shireroth again. Please come back to stay--we're in need of your perspective and wit again.
