While I hate to say it - Why not capitalise on the LOTR fanaticism and use that as an element to relate Shireroth to the general public?I know Shireroth isn't LOTR per say, nor anywheres near being exclusive to that genre, but you need something common which can be associated with Shireroth and thus used to link the two.
