Well.. Alex was talking about how all you need to reproduce is 2 sets of DNA... just take 2 eggs.. splice them so one acts kinda like a Sperm... and you get a woman... since a woman gives an X chromosome.. 2 X's.. you get a woman.. it wouldl all be done invetro.. duh.... and would fuck over humans in the long run... and would proly cause a war between conservatives/men and those trying to replace men... and you could never go back if all men were gone.. in other words.. I highly doubt it would happen... You'de also have to get everyone to agree to get rid of men.. but.. I would't be to surprised if it was tried....... what happens if you get 2 Y chromosomes? i was reading about the male chromosome thing...i think that was in the last issue of popular science...nobody's trying to exterminate men...I think the article was saying the following: The Y chromosome cannot mutate as quickly as X chromosomes can, and because of this...there are very few different Y chromosomes...and men of similar decent carry these unchanging genes. Since the amount of change is very small, harmful changes are more likely to be passed on and spread quickly...eventually...these changes would amount to being dangerous...and individual men wouldn't be able to survive long enough to pass on the genes...they'd die in childhood or something...the obvious solution to the problem as hypothesised by a certain scientist would be to find away to combine the genetic information of two eggs...since women do not carry Y chromosomes, men would die out...because there would be no Ys left.
