Shirithian Elder isn't actually in the Lawbook yet, it's still just code under the Ministry of the Interior (or was it Immigration?)... but David - you have my Landsraad vote, do you not? I suggest you propose a bill of some sort that would put the honour of Shirithian Elder into the Lawbook, preferrably in such a manner that was suggested (the council-type thing)... because I'm really not digging this 500 post thing anymore... no offense or anything, I'm pretty sure I had this idea before you became elder...but yeah... go use your landsraad powers!if nothing's done when I get back, I'm probably going to end up cleaning out all the old custom user titles and reassigning them (because we've got waay outdated titles on almost everyone), by which I will probably also remove Shirithian Elder from everyone but Erik (since he was kinda the original Shirithian)... Eriana - I am not saying I am just completely removing Shirithian Elder - that is why I want DNB to propose something to the Landsraad for me. It's just that if nothing has changed by the time I am back to activity, then I might as well take the old ones out until something is decided. I'm going to clean up all the old titles anyway so we don't have erik the commoner being presented as duke of two duchies and kaiser and such.Erik - the idea was not to make it a title of Nobility, per se, but rather of some parallel sort of system ...if anyone cares to listen -My idea is that the council of Elders would initially be made up of anyone who has been Kaiser at any point. This council would be permitted to elect by an overwhelming majority to admit new members, who would also gain the title of Shirithian Elder.The council of the elders would as a collective have some number of votes in the Landsraad (probably less than or equal to the number of votes for a Duchy).Also, the council would act as the High Court of Shireroth, assigning punishment once an individual has been convicted of a crime (which would still be done by the Landsraad, as granted by the Charter).It is my hope that someday the Council of Elders would play some part in the line of succession or the Kaisership itself, maybe that the line of succession would consist of the elders, or that the Council would be allowed to select one citizen to add to the line of succession... I don't know...Anyhow... yesss...so if anyone wants to put a bit of that into lawbook format, go ahead... but they're just Ideas...and dude... ok, maybe thisformer kiasers, people who are of note, people who have been around a long while.....in a council..of elders....they approve new peope to be in the council....what to do with them?...well, they are there if someone thinks of something to o with it.....no seperate forum, unless someone thinks of something permenant to do....basicly, some one wants advise (maybe they just got a job or need some background info on something)..they check the list of elders, and ask one of them...new ones can ask one to mentor them for a bit until they find there feet....or someone can ask the council about an issue, and they will discuss it....basicly, a citizens advise bureaux and governemntal advisory thingy "Disclaimer: Whatever is in the above post is probably a result of my blind following of Kieran Bennett, because I have even less of a brain than Kieran. Erik, I see your point ( and Nick's point as well ) and concede that it would probably be better to keep the direct governmental influence of a council to a minimum.However, you worry me again with your recalling of outdated laws. Erik, was it not you who replaced the old Constitution with the Charter? Was it not you who threw out the old Landsraad system of only recording laws by their archived passage? When we reorganized the law structure of Shireroth, was it not you who decreed the Lawbook as the laws of the land, thereby negating all previous Landsraad action?
