Stromblum?

I noticed this at MNN and then checked it in the Landsraad to make sure I wasn't imagining things....

Cognito, Lac Glacei, Absentia, Kloss, Loreley, the Principality of Stromblum, (encompassing the three duchies of Lorelei, Edelweiss and Heathersland), the area designated as the Freimark, Vivaldia, Alara, Alterra, Aspyxnia, Greater Baldonios, Burnisia, Edan, Formiga, Jaris, and Cocoanut Grove.

How did Stromblum get dragged into the picture? I ask because this is something of mine that Diga tried to claim for Attera and which I just rebuked in some spam mail I've been getting from them [the Atterans]. Rather than Shireroth trying to dig up dead bodies, I would prefer if they were left in the grave. Especially when it concerns things that I created.

Note that I'm not objecting to Jacobus' efforts to authenticate his long standing but semi-existant nations as parts of Shireroth. I am, however, objecting to claiming Stromblum. As founder of Stromblum I would like to ask that its death and closure be respected and any attempts to resurrect it be nullified.

When the FRC "annexed" Lac Glacei, I went into the Lac Glaceian archives and claimed everything I could find that didn't appear to be bolted down.

From Decree #4- Jan. 6, 2006-

WHEREAS Kloss is a direct relation to Lorelei and Lac Glacei through roots in Cranda, Stromblum and Arminy.....

When I moved bag and baggage to Shireroth, it was my intent to "clean up my act" so to speak, micronationally.

The Federal Republic of Cyberia was (and is) a mess. After the hurricanes of November, they decided to withdraw from their overseas Empire. They withdrew to Earth.

I arranged to have the FRC cede its Empire in favor of Shireroth, in which basket I have placed all of my eggs. This excluded Puritania, of which the non-Absentian portion was returned to it's founder, Julian Starr at his request. This all went down in January of '08.

Thus as my idea was to clean up my act, and as you have a particular attachment to the name "Stromblum", I have no problem with it being declared yours.

This was an act of the Landsraad, and I do not want to abuse my ability to issue decrees on occasion, so I'd be happy to ask the Landsraad to make the proper edit.

Is there any thing else on the list that is a problem?

Can you help us figure out where some of that stuff is/was?

Stromblum incorporated three other projects that I combined to establish the Principality. Originally Lorelei was known as the Kingdom of New Rhineland. I later changed the name to Lorelei, which means "of the Rhine". Edelweiss was a province I started as a citizen of Cranda, and Heathersland was a province I had in Slobovia (named for Troy's ex-girlfriend). When Cranda and Slobovia joined to form Arminy, I combined all three to form the Principality of Stromblum. When Arminy died, Stromblum withdrew from that union as an independent entity.

I don't have any issues with asking the Landsraad to make an edit. I can wait.

As for the others;

Kloss was a region of Cranda (remember Belci's pseudonym Johannes fon Klosso). To spare you the wrath of Belci and Diga, I'd suggest just forgetting about that. They've already been annoying me via email to get involved and I want no part of that bologna.

Alterra was Chaz Jago's project. He's been gone for ages, so I don't think it'll matter, but best you know anyways.

Vivaldia was one of the Cyberian spin-off projects. It was never on the map. Although I did think about annexing it years ago. You beat me to it.

The rest I think are mostly names you or other people came up with that just never made it into existence. Some of those "imaginary" nations that people spoke of but never were. I'll see if I can dig anything out of my archives for you.

"Emperor Jacobus" annexed this in early-mid 2000.

has quite a history, starting as a Republic under Joe Whit, 'twas a Shirithian Duchy for a time. I annexed the "Kingdom" version. The land is spoken for, but we should own the name.

Cocoanut Grove was originally a forum in Choconya that was became a condominium of the United Imperium and Audentior. When Audentior fell, I annexed it in toto.

Alara, Alterra, Aspyxnia, Greater Baldonios, Burnisia, Edan, Formiga were picked up along the way-- , but I've no idea of the location.

He sailed in, badmouthed Belci and gloated about the bug that destroyed Cranda (*), then ran away when everyone turned out to hate his guts.

(*) In the thread where this took place, I mentioned that I remembered he'd actually confessed that Cranda's forum had been destroyed by an ezBoard bug... I hadn't actually read his posts carefully enough to notice that he basically attributed it to himself on that very thread again. I guess I'll have to take back what I said about forgiveness...
