Bysie-bye, now!
Happy New Year and Goodbye.
Despite all the things I've heard respected micronationalists say over the past few months about there not being enough activity on Micras, the whole damn thing is hypocrisy. On MNN people have said how the Civil War has brought so much more activity and publicity to the Imperial Republic. People have regaled us with stories about what a laugh RecWars can really be if we give them the time of day. But for what?
Even Malarbor in his aged floral wisdom says that the Civil War 'maintains the grand Shirereithan tradition of confusing compass directions'. So what do I do? I actually try and add a bit of activity to this war and make something happen. Rather than let it just be a frolic in the fields for the Rebels, I've actually used the dams placed on the map for a purpose- Ardy even told me that the reason those dams were on the map was to make RecWars have targets and therefore make them more interesting- for which I congratulate him. Simply because the guy knows how to take a joke.
I don't expect to have my posts deleted. I don't expect to have my reputation ruined, and most of all I don't expect people to harbour personal grudges against me for just excersising my duty as a Shirereithan citizen and giving this nation a tad more activity by being provocative. I'm sorry how many simulated lives have been lost and how many fake towns have been destroyed, but- you want a RecWar? We can't all shake hands and be friends if the suffix of that word is to actually mean something.
I'm offended that admin powers have been abused by deleting my posts arguing only my self defence, and I'm offended- no, bemused- that people can take this personally.
This is why I resign my Shirereithan citizenship today. If you can't work with me, I can't work with you.
Cheers, and the best wishes for the future,
Maksym
P.S- If you feel like some cheap thrills you can delete all the work I did for Modan-Lach and K'Tzuni. After all, it's only time wasted, isn't it?

Re: Bysie-bye, now!
Max,
Nothing of what's happened has been personal. I am, even if you don't believe it, sorry that you've interpreted it that way. What I did was to play on this recwar thing, and attack the character that you had created for what this character did. Just as Kaisers are opposed, killed, and so on, it doesn't mean that we hate our kaisers. What I did was to play on this, use politics as everything here is simulated anyway...
I am sorry, I am, that you have interpreted this in a way I never wanted you to do. What you have done for Shireroth is much good, I am impressed by the Laqi language and the cultural stories you have developed.
I hope you reconsider

Cheers.
But what I am infuriated about is that the admin here actually allow someone to delete my posts which were merely self defence. What's the point of fighting a war if you can't even argue your own point of view? If that's the way things are here, I'm off.

For the love of whatever deity takes your fancy. Max, I do realise that you are pissed off, but please reonsider - the war was just getting interesting now you got involved.

So were my posts. But they were deleted, weren't they? Dead waste of half an hour if you ask me. I'm only considering returning if those posts get put back- they weren't abusive or offensive so Harald had no right to delete them- and if I get an apology. Then we enter dam blasting stage two.

Right. Hmm... wait there a second will you. *Orders the West Elwynn Dam to empty the resevoir gradually over the course of the night. (Of course its curtains for Shirekeep but it saves Ardashirshahr

Man you seem annoyed, old school-stylie fer shaw...
Put it this way Max - no one wants you to leave AFAIK. Certainly not openly, or I'd probably have noticed. This has always been up to you, so if you wanna leave, feel free, but I don't think Shireroth as a whole meant to waste your time and make you angry.

None of your posts have been deleted by me. I wrote the following on this matter in the Duchy of Froyalan.
[quo5i]Max,
I'm quite sorry thay you seem to have taken what I have said personal.
Under the Law of this Duchy no one but a Count of Froyalan is allowed to post in the Løgting. In the event that anyone not a Count of Froyalan posts in the Løgting, his posts will firstly be removed from the Løgting by splitting them off and moving them into the Duchy's general forum. The person in question will also be told that (s)he is not allowed to post in the Løgting. Should such person, in spite of having been told that they are not allowed to post in the Løgting, persist in posting in the Løgting, then his/her posts will indeed be deleted.
The posts you made in the Løgting were split off and form the first posts of this thread. You were told by me that only Counts of Froyalan are allowed to post in the Løgting. Since then you haven't posted in the Løgting anymore so none of your posts have been deleted by me.
I usually do not delete other people's posts save on the request of the poster himself provided always that such poster must give me a good reason yo do so.
I hope that this misunderstanding has been cleared up now.[/quote]

Ah! I see now. Sorry, I didn't know what the Løgting was so I'll make sure not to post there next time. I know I may have acted a bit brashly, but I was labouring under the misconception that you had deleted my posts to 'hush me up', so to speak.
Oh well.
Anyway, I don't think it matters whether or not I decide to be a Shirereithan citizen or not anymore seeing as K'Tzuni is now a provisional republic

Re: Bysie-bye, now!
If I may say so: I would get very offended, myself, if I didn't know the posts weren't really deleted and just split off.
I remember reading the post mentioning that Maksym's posts had been deleted and thinking, "...what on earth?" From that point on I kind of expected things to blow up. Of course, I currently only navigate this board via the "View new posts" feature, so I miss things that might otherwise be obvious, which tends to be fine because I'm not really involved in anything, and if I am, I do make that extra effort, bu-u-u-ut...
...the point that I'm labouring to get to is that I can understand the utter fury that invoked.
That being said, I don't think anyone did anything wrong here. It's miscommunication, plain and simple, and it happens a lot. I hope feathers have been smoothed again and blood is no longer boiling... unless of course people are planning to make a bizarre fondue, unrelated to this issue, that is.
Now, that aside I would really suggest never deleting someone's posts even if you technically have the right to do so, unless the post is both short and trollish - or that, if you do, you make a copy of the post in your digital notepad of choice. Spending many minutes with a post and it then getting deleted pisses pretty much anyone off, I think.
*gingerly hugs all involvees*

^ Now, that speech could end any war
Well said, Neike. And thankyou- you're right- it was only a miscommunication which blew out of hand. We all get worked up when our capital city has been flooded (even I do- have you any idea how much those dam-buster bombs cost?) and I apologise if I overreacted. Of course I won't leave- just something I said in the heat of the moment.
Harald and I are now as amicable as can be- including virtual slaughter. Anyway, I've got some Zjandarians to impale, so I'll be on my way now.
Bysie-bye, now!
But this time I shall be back.

Hold on one bloody Minute.. what's going on? Why are posts being deleted? ok.. in the wrong spot.. You should have moved it.. not deleted it... I don't like seeing posts deleted... It angers me.... So... Don't do that. Yes, it was in the wrong place by the laws of your Duchy, this I recognize... But just move it next time...
Don't go leavin my friend... Recwars are silly affairs but can be fun. I personally.. get bored with them real quick these days... But yes... If there continues to be a problem or is one in the future.. it can be brought to my court for arbitration.... k?

Re: Bysie-bye, now!
I missed something..........
I've never deleted anything in Shireroth. I see it as an offence against history.
I understand Maksym's fury.
I've played a much smaller part in the revival of Morovia. Someone there took it upon himself to delete my entire account, along with all of my PMs, and every post made by anyone to the political party I belong(ed?) to there.
Now the old Jake would have been hip-deep in rebellion and civil war by now, but I've mellowed, and just decided to give that time to Shireroth.
There IS a post in Shirewiki that needs attention..........but not by me, and not yet.
