What problems do you have with the current Treaty of Alcyon? Please list grievances in an orderly fashion below, so that we may make an easily-referenced list.

Jaris.

Jaris was never Antican in the first place, so why should we cede Jaris to the Republic?

The amount of land.

Why should we give up all that land to them? They were given huge chunks south of the dinarchy border before. There's no point making them bigger than the pre-revolutionary Antica.

Tell you what, if they give us New Brannum in return they can get all that land in my opinion.

I dont see why we are even CONSIDERING ceding them land at all! What happened to the good old days where diplomats didn't even think of asking the Imperial Republic such unworthy requests?

Seriously though, Jaris has never been Antican - they don't need it.

And they're the ones that need us, not us that needs them -it should be them giving us land, not the other wya around. If I recall Shireroth is still the giant - not the Republic of Antica.

The whole idea of giving land seems a bit uppish to me anyways.

Well,

1.You just came back from who knows where. Your opinion loses value because of your lack of devotion. >=D
2.True, we are bigger, but the fact is that the Republic is the new and living Antica, and it benefits us to have a treaty with them.
3.Maybe for once we can bite the bullet and do something for the overall good rather than gloat about how awesome we are, when in fact we are a dying nation thanks to the inactivity of people like you.

'Ey Moose, tis not our fault that the vast majority of us have a "life"

But work for the greater good? The greater good of who? The MCS?

If by MCS you mean micronationalism in general (as us constantly fighting with Antica, which seems to be what your simple mind wants, is not a good road to travel), then yes.

That life excuse is both old and stupid. The fact that you claim to not have the five minutes it takes to browse through the forum and type a single post just shows how conceited you are. Makes you sound as worthless as you really are.

Really, if you're so busy, why do you even come back? You're not really that welcome, with that kind of shitty attitude. Go crawl off and talk with real people. It's obviously more important to you than Shireroth is. It's not a question of which takes priority, it's a question of if you have what little time Shireroth takes. You, as we can see, don't have that time, so far be it from us to ask you to sacrifice a few moments of your precious social life to grace us with your presence.

I hope you choke, cockbite.

Gentlemen, please. This sort of thing does no credit to you in the eyes of your companions, nor in the eyes of the patrons of this thread!

Now, if we can get back to business, we can talk about Ozarka's absence elsewhere.

And they say the younger ones are more immature..

Anyways, yes, Baldwin, let's move on.

Some Questions:
-What do we have to gain from giving Antica territory?
-What 'fighting' has been taking place?
-Is the ceding of some 3-5 counties worth it to be buddy-buddy with the Republic?
-Is there anyway we could still give them land, but less of it?[/list]

1.) Their invaluable friendship.
2.) Not so much "fighting" as "bickering and simmering sauce of salavating, superfluous resentment." The Anticans are swiftly becoming a superpowerand we should not atttempt to stop them. Rather, we should befriend them.
3.)The Anticans are swiftly becoming a superpower and we should not attempt to stop them. Rather, we should befriend them. And allying yourself with a superpower rather than creating conflict with it is quite worth four unoccupied, otherwise-wasted counties and half of one that is being used.
4.)Why in the world do you care?

Baldwin, I care because:

I've been here almost 2 years and never before has a Kaiser ran around skipping handing out presents to neighbors, nor ever even entertaining the thought of doing so.

And I think I hit 2 years this week.... on another note.

It's land that no one is using! It is original Antican land! Why ought they NOT to have it? Perhaps you should consider these things before criticizing the Kaiser for being realistic.

Talking of Antica... does anybody know what happened to the forums? It says "weapons of mass destruction cannot be found", heh.

while it is true that in the old days, there have been mass rebellions if a kiaser even thought about giving away land, even to the point where a kaiser was deposed, it is not the case now. Shireroth is weaker then it used to be. simple as that.

Yes, I got that message too, as did Ruth. I think it's just Nick's version of the generic "Page Cannot be Found/Displayed" thing you've all seen.

Yes, I thought it was much more amusing.

There was an SQL reset, coupled with the permissions going haywire. Ryan at myfxh.com straightened it out for us, and we're back now.
