Gryphon the Pure, with all due respects, having a war in SNARL does not affect what happens outside of it. The outcome of SNARL's Velkin War, no matter which side won, wouldn't have given that land, on which the war was fought, to either of the warring sides. This is simply because the "land" you refer to is on MCS, and it is upto MCS's descretion whether to accept such a war for such land purposes.True, that it happened in MRWS, but then MRWS and MCS had a kind of understanding wherein, land would be accepted at the MCS's descreation. You are offcourse free to give up land that you already control (on MCS) to the other side according to SNARL outcomes. But do not expect to "gain" land simply because of SNARL is fighting a war. If you had informed the MCS of SNARL's interest in that particular land, then perhaps, you would have had a case here.If we wanted, we could fight over the Shireroth territory back home in our recwar society but that would not mean anything as its mainly a private war within the society.Gryphon, I hope you understand my point. Quote:Babkha plot aside, if you're going to annex Apollo, AT LEAST do it through a foundation rather than a nation composed of one of the greatest opponents to Apollo ever? And this comes from the heart of THE greatest opponent to Apollo ever? Give me a break. If the actual Foundation that had been looking after all the Apollo stuff hadn't been closed, then none of this would have happened in the first place. And for your information, as I assume you're referring to certain claims about Audentior and Ptia, firstly nothing was actually annexed in the first place as nothing had existed to be annexed for many months; secondly the arrangement for Ptia was to ask the MCS to put it back on the map, but as Harvey wasn't bothered about it, that plan is finished; thirdly Treesia was granted a claim over the land that was FORMERLY occupied by Audentior in exchange for giving up territory in the Skerry Isles for the independent Capital Commonwealth Territory, and that obviously could only have happened BEFORE the Grand Commonwealth existed. If you can't even get a basic grip on what's actually been happening here, then may heaven help you out in the real world.Everything else that needed to has already been said. Quote:I assume you're referring to certain claims about Audentior and Ptia, firstly nothing was actually annexed in the first place as nothing had existed to be annexed for many monthsIain raises a point that I feel is important. If the nations don't exist anymore, it's not Apollo they are annexing, just unclaimed land. One of the reasons I didn't like the DRA is for the same reason. We get defensive over territories that our old allies used to posess, but we need to come to realize that those aren't our allies anymore.By the way, Joseph, your europe analogy is horrible. It's not nearly that serious. 3e knowe ek that in fourme of speche is chaunge / With-inne a thousand 3eer, and wordes tho / That hadden pris now wonder nyce and straunge / Us thenketh hem, and 3et thei spake hem so, / And spedde as wel in loue as men now do...

I don't like surprises. : -->:"> Or, to put it more bluntly: DO YOU HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE? You are the Minister of the Exterior! You are supposed to handle our relations with other countries and inform us if something is going on in one that is important to us in some way. You have no right to make excuses about surprises and such when you failed in your job and betrayed Shireroth by not informing them of one of the largest mergers in microhistory, including within it our closest ally!Go back to Babkha where you belong, vermin. Hypatia's Mom: Yay! I'm legal now.Moose: WE(Shireroth) HAVE NON-NOBLES?![21:11] Bill7D0: It's 9:11 PM. Do you know where your plane is?

Quote:Not exactly correct. The Veliken war was started with the agreement that there would be no land swapping, but that's not the point. The point is that we had put so much effort into that RecWar, that for the GC to swipe it was just a mockery.not exactly correct either. The agreement was between the members of SNARL and not SNARL and MCS. Further, since that's not the point, lets talk about the point. Which part of your recwar did GC swipe away anyways? The fact that GC now controls the lands upon which you fought? Well, that land was not going to be yours anyways with respect to Velkein war only.Yes, you guys really did put much effot into that recwar. I read the progess daily. And for that I congratulate you. However, please stop saying that GC made a mockery of it. Infact, the opposite is true. GC actually likes what you have done here, and intends on joining the SNARL community itself. *flexes his Apollonian battle muscles*Quote:It changes whenever a vocal minority decides the government is wrong and we are Apollo, then those of us who know the truth have to run around silencing Bill and his supporters, only to find that no matter how much duct tape we use they will always manage to convince some one they are speaking the truth.Considering the fact that you are the only one who actually is adamantly against it nowadays (Erik doesn't count, since he, ya know, quit and all.), as compared to the four that would possibly support it (I'd let you know that I havn't even spoken about this issue for months), I'd say we're not the minority, given our sparse citizenship activity levels, as compared to what the activity was a couple months ago. (Note that foreigners coming in to argue/bitch about SPEAR/GC != citizen activity) Most people don't care at all. Even though there's absolutely no stigma attached to being Apollonian, since, you know, Shireroth just blatently continued its so called "stigmas" and it has been revealed that the faults of the Apollo Sector was pure micronational nature, being the first true... How should I put it... Nations of Micras, in which the micronation is meant to be on another world, rather than a simulation like Cyberia or Morovia, or successionist nation. This is the real importance of the Apollo Sector, because even though some nations that are now "nations of Micras" are older than Audentior (Such as Attera), it had come from their relationship to the Apollo Sector and thus, influence. (Want me to bring up the spam cannon that got Yardistan into trouble in Tymaria, despite the fact that it was, ya know, originall a weapon created by an Apollonian? )My opinion today is more that Shireroth inherited the legacy of the Apollo Sector in a way similar to how Russia inherited the legacy of Byzantium. Russia certianatly wasn't Byzantine (Slavic peoples ain't the same as Greek ), but the culture was partially inherited from and evolved past the fall of Constantinople.Quote:Gryphon the Pure, with all due respects, having a war in SNARL does not affect what happens outside of it. Give me a break.I'm going to smack you for mistaking Joe for Nick. Quote:thirdly Treesia was granted a claim over the land that was FORMERLY occupied by Audentior in exchange for giving up territory in the Skerry Isles for the independent Capital Commonwealth Territory, and that obviously could only have happened BEFORE the Grand Commonwealth existed.Except the ANF was founded at the same time that the Grand Commonwealth was created. Plus, secret dealings doesn't make it "formal".Oh, and from what I hear, Ryan is going to remove your claim, so hopefully that will end that case.Quote:Iain raises a point that I feel is important. If the nations don't exist anymore, it's not Apollo they are annexing, just unclaimed land. One of the reasons I didn't like the DRA is for the same reason. We get defensive over territories that our old allies used to posess, but we need to come to realize that those aren't our allies anymore. Not exactly. This would be true if the unclaimed land being taken over had a different name, different cities, etc.; but in this case it wasn't. That is the theft of a micronation's intellectual property, which was the major problem behind this, not the actual territory. You don't see me making a big stink of Natopia controlling the land formerly known as the Elpiferno Archipelio, or Antica controlling Alcyon; they don't actually claim the actual former nation's names and thus can do that if that want, (although those would be good recwars) because new empires rise on the graveyards of old (or whatever.) Thus the Apollo Foundation was reformed, partially as a copyright office to prevent this issue in the future.
