Solution to the Lorelei Affair
Esteemed Gentlemen of Shireroth,I have been visited by a couple of your, let's say, more "interesting" citizens and feel that in the spirit of Intermicronational cooperation, actions such as coming to my forum to pester me is not going to sway my opinion in the Lorelei affair, to say the least.Yet, I come to state the following:Strong armed methods, while sometimes fun, don't really work with me.Negotiation always works when done in good faith. On the contrary, to some, I have not destroyed the Atteran Empire, but chose to "stick to my guns" in the Atteran Commonwealth dispute. While this may not be the popular line that many wished for me to take, I for one am responsible for the continuation of the Atteran nation as a whole. Even if it means accepting the resignations of those who choose to leave. Their exodus may have caused some discomfort, but has not destroyed Attera, as their leaving has provided others who choose to come, the opportunity to create something new and possibly beneficial to micronationalism. What I propose to Shireroth is based on the statement that osmose1000 placed in the Transatteran forum, "You have something of ours". During the end of the UAS did I complain and whine when Shireroth annexed the entire UAS, Lesser Attera included? No.Did I insult you and act in a manner similar to a three year old? Again the answer is no.What I suggest is that if you want Lorelei, then give me Lesser Attera as this was my creation. I believe this would make us even, and would keep WarVoid in good standing with the Intermicronational community, as he wouldn't have to be forced into manipulating things in Shireroth's favor on the MCS map.For you all to even consider using the MCS as a means to gain what you want, will certainly place major doubt in the memberstates who occupy her space, as to whether you are unbiased or not. Gentlemen, I don't need the MCS to survive, nor do I need Lorelei, but because I have an interest in both, I'm still willing to negotiate a peaceful settlement. BTW military actions would be a serious detrament to both, so let's just drop that issue. It's not that I'm afraid to go to war, as my past has shown, but let's say that I've long outgrown it.Sincerely,HSRM Michael IKing of TransatteraEmperor of the Atterans
